  1. I think of it like a TV show. The fact that it still holds my interest after 11 years is phenomenal. Not many properties can say or do that. I like the risks Robert is taking. Not every single issue--especially after a decade-- can be a masterpiece. It's OK to be just "good"! Like, that's OK!
  2. I think the hammer is below $13,000. It's been sold too many times publicly, and there have been too many collectors that have already passed on this multiple times to command a higher price. Unless a new buyer comes in and takes it to new levels ::COUGH COUGH:: That all said, I love this, and would be so happy to have it sequentially next to my page #3. I don't have much room left, but I'm definitely interested.
  3. Any of the other OA fans who've purchased new art recently find Charlie's art board choice funny?
  4. Yeah-- Most of my art (especially the TM pages) are in less than ideal shape. Silver Age pages many times look like they've been put through the wringer (chunks missing, huge whiteout marks, smudging). That's not even including the damage from dealer handling and shows.
  5. Nice! And congrats to everyone for not making a "Tree fiddy" joke.
  6. Had the chance, so I had to get a second page from the first issue of my favorite story ever: Y: The Last Man Issue #1, page #14
  7. Poor guy bought that at auction about a year and a half ago for a lot and has been trying to resell since. It's the size of a comic bag and board. Fantastic art, but too small.
  8. Loving the evolution of the zombies. They're all mostly bald, no teeth, cruddy looking, etc.
  9. It was my second choice to the cover of #1 and I knew that the owner of the #1 cover would never part with it for any amount of money I could afford so I set my sites on this one... Well! That's a beauty.
  10. It was offered on eBay for 9K, then pulled. Then sold via ebay for around 9K. Then it turned up on CAF about a year ago and now is up again. It's been up for sale multiple times and has never cracked 10K. It's a HUGE moment from the book. I know it's been offered a few times before, so i've got to think this may be one of the last times to pick it up. The only earlier page that's known is my page #3, and page #1 that is presumably in the wild. My strong guestimate is is that this will go for $11K. I love the book and LOVE Tony's work, but it's a simple splash without much to it, and I think that keeps the price from being super high. I've got to think a few non-WD bidders will get in on it. I'm certainly interested, but I definitely have to think that James and a few guys from Europe will be the ones most likely to pick this up. There have been some incredible art from the book on sale recently. The Gov/Michonne pages were incredible, but this to me is just special.
  11. So... what do you think? http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=567891
  12. So this has sold three times. I love the page (and have a page it would look really nice sitting right next to it!), and wonder if the multiple auctions are a decent indicator of FMV? Any thoughts on where it ends? This will definitely bring out bidders who aren't the usual suspects.
  13. Same Page Relisted Round 2 "FIGHT!" I wonder what happened... The real question is, will it go higher or lower this time? REALLY? I'll give you $380 right now. Great page. Yeah-- I've got to think that was a buyer not wanting to pay. That's a very good seller. Bet he's happy! That page of mine that sold for $380, buyer never paid me either. I'm just gonna keep it rather than lose out on almost $700
