  1. Great page and not a bad price at all for an early arc and large art. #1 - #48 is where it is at all day long. That's a keeper. I think a lot of international buyers would have had zero interest in eBay global shipping which charged just shy of $100 in duty and about $30 in shipping on top of the winning bid. Would not have encouraged anyone over here to take it much higher either. Goes to show if the small handful of people competing for the same pieces are not bidding then the prices get to a reasonable level. Somehow I don't think we will see them drop too much lower ... I can hope though It's the same bidders on every OA auction...
  2. I didn't think Shawn worked on the TV/production side though. I think this is more focused on the comic.
  3. Probably referring to the tv show, time to grab some Negan art before it's all gone. YUP.
  4. Maybe it's because the auction ended during the USA Portugal game? I seriously have no idea how to price these anymore. I'm guessing this was north of $750 when listed from Mark not too long ago. Yeesh. http://www.ebay.com/itm/111383068188?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  5. Not so fun getting one in a shipping tube from Europe.....it was like a curly fry. That's a legit sin. How dare they!?!?
  6. It's definitely in my agenda for a vaca this year. It's either California (no sdcc) to visit my dad, or NY for NYCC. Come on out, brotha!!!
  7. Just the fact that a major pop culture driver like The Walking Dead is still being under-ordered by retailers. It doesn't make sense. TWD should NEVER have 2nd printings. It's a joke. I don't get it.
  8. Like, seriously-- Could you imagine that happening in any other industry? There's an incredible movie coming out from a very well known studio, but no movie theaters carry it. BMW has a top 8 rated car, but no dealers carry it.
  9. 70 is high, but the fans are there. I'm still in disbelief that retailers are only ordering 70K copies of a top 8 comic. No wonder Eric was flipping out.
  10. Robert will definitely do NYCC. Charlie is always tough given location...
  11. I'm planning on slabbing my copies. I think it's a no-brainer. The book goes beyond first appearances, and really is a new jumping on point. I dig it. No need to reboot.
  12. Yup. He had the same pages for years at various cons and the prices were always quite high. For example a page that would have been $70 from Y the Last Man (equally hot at the time) was $250 from Tony. I bought one of the best interiors from #2 at that price. The one damn page that haunts me is that zombie/tank splash from the Atlanta sequence. Every time I saw it the price went up a grand. That's another page I've been trying to track down. No idea where it is... Great stuff, James! Such a special moment from the series.
  13. I tend to stay away from anything that isn't all Adlard. Very interested in seeing how the art wil sell long term if pencils and inks get seperated. Also, I need Rick in my pages. He's gotta be in them, unless it's just a memorable moment (e.g. My old Michonne/Gov page, birth of Judith, etc).
  14. FYI, according to ComicChron, #127 had a print run of 71,352
  15. If I added covers, 1,2,9,106, are way up there. If i'm going for covers, #106 by far, followed by #8, #20, #46 and #100 wraparound
  16. Too easy. But still the right answer! OK, OK. Let's get creative, gents!
  17. All this talk about key WD pieces is getting me all giddy, and I want to pose a question to the group: If you could have one piece of OA from the entire series, which would they be?: Here's my top choice: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=511904&GSub=78862
  18. Truly is amazing the stuff you both have. Also nice to see the market getting wider with new buyers. Lots of updates on CAF from people I've never heard of, or long time collectors of other OA getting into the WD... I get emails all the time for some of my stuff, and I can't imagine how flooded your inbox must be. More importantly, thanks for sharing these! It's no fun when they're tucked away and not able to be viewed.
  19. Literally pages I've been trying to pry out of people's hands for years. I don't know how you do it, James, but your're in another league. I think you've trumped the Nowell Bros. CONGRATS!!!!
