  1. Went to NYCC Special Edition on a whim and walked out with a few goodies: Kevin Nowlan Rags Morales (have been trying to get something from him for a while!)
  2. Happens a lot, and is usually an editor/writer decision. Adlard's pencils and the published page are the same, it's just the inks. Ahh-- totally misread that. Huh. That is odd!
  3. It was a great price on that. Well done! Love sequentials...
  4. I'm just having a hard time understanding the perspective of the newly released cover...
  5. Rosita's going to be out late tonight. That is a cheap DPS, in fact most of the art is priced on the lighter end. No major characters in this, but if you're looking for a zombie page, I can't remember a better one at a more reasonable price: http://www.splashpageart.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=29160&ArtistId=84&Details=0&Mag=Walking+Dead&From=TDetail
  6. Two things: What's going on with Rosita? Who's going to buy that dirt cheap DPS from mark? Cheapest I've seen since 2010.
  7. Nice Garf-- I've never gotten a straight answer on these, but what exactly is a color guide?
  8. I know we laugh at the death of Bernie, but it's a killer zombie page. Great pick up.
  9. No idea what page #2 will go for...but I can say for certain that neither the owner of page #1 nor the owner of page #3 have any interest. Good luck to the bidders. Good to know. The stats are a killer (), but if you're all about pages with some historical context, best of luck, y'all.
  10. Just picked my jaw up from the floor after perusing this thread. I don't even collect books anymore, but WOW. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7757683&fpart=1
  11. I can check in with Mark-- he's been to a ton of US events this year so fingers crossed he's skipping SDCC and coming to NYCC
  12. That nod to # 48 is AWESOME Garf. Great stuff as always, and thanks for the note about the covers.
  13. Within about a month if one another the first three pages all went up for auction. Three different owners. Gotta think those other two owners will be in the running. The real gem was page #3. That page is classic Adlard, Michonne's first katana kill, and nice, big panelling. I think that's the only page that would command more than what it was auctioned for last year.
  14. That was a quick flip... I can't imagine this going for more than what they brought on eBay. I'll definitely be in the running on this one.
  15. Are there official forum rules on spoilers I'm apparently not aware of? It's not like it's a difficult thing to do-- and again, not everyone's read the series. Just a courtesy. the official rule is once something is a few years old, it does not need spoilers. and don't expect them. Ah-- got it. Well, I say this as a new comic reader that this rule is bull sh it. There are a ton of stories (recent stories; I'm not talking ASM 21), that are still new and exciting and fun to stumble upon that are slightly drained of their surprise factor due to folks not using tags. I know time passes and stories get old, but I would've never thought that I'd find out about a character death from a book that's nearly a eight-years-old in a thread about moderns that are heating up currently. That to me more than anything is why I thought the spoiler was needed.

  17. Yes, you can. The same way people spoil all of issue 48 of TWD on a weekly basis. Some of us didn't care about comics until recently so the spoil tags are appreciated.
  18. everyone ran out of money ....... There are a few pages on there that if I were new to the OA game, is be all over. Very happy with my cast page from 127. Back to not buying OA for a while. Maybe. Actually, who am I kidding. Exactly. Someone grabbed that WD #25 back cover from Cliff off CAF quick. I was thinking about it but then I decided not to email the seller. Congrats to the buyer/seller. I'm after something else, and it's not OA I wish he still did pin-ups every once in a while! I'd love to know what happened to the only cover Cliff did. I'm guessing he still has it.
  19. I might have to stay off the boards for a week. Crazies, I tell ya.
