  1. Love it, it’s been the first Marvel Family that I bought! (thumbs u
  2. #64… One of my favorites and it all begins here (the Kree et al.).
  3. But Jay, this is not a "ret-con". The stories weren’t altered, they just progressed one after the other, as they liked the idea and then properly introduced the character. This obsession with "first apperances" just clouds the fact that the creative process of writing happens in stages. They’re all important. So, is Charlize Theron too old to play her? You know I’m not interested in these movies…

  5. Avengers 83 isn't the first appearance of a character, just the first published depiction of a character's likeness - as portrayed by an impostor. You might as well just go full Ween. Really now, you haven't even read the issues you're discussing, have you? In all 3 of the first appearances, the Enchantress is the one to give the Valkyrie's likeness/personality/powers to each character. In Avengers 83 she used the likeness on herself against the Avengers. In Hulk 142, she used the likeness on Samantha Pennington to attack the Hulk. In Defenders #4, she again used it on Barbara Norriss to help her with the Defenders. What in the world is the difference? But in Hulk #142 and in Defenders #4 the Valkyrie is effectively taking the place of the two women, while in Avengers #83, if I recall correctly the Enchantress is just appearing as the Valkyrie, but the Valkyrie is not there. Definitely the Avengers #83 needs re-reading, but anyway they are all important to me. (thumbs u
  6. But not by me… I bought it as is! At a time I did not care much about conditions…
  7. Now I am really envious… I have been looking for a nice raw of #77 for a while… My copy needs some improvement…
  8. And it’s clear than when she appears as Samantha she is always the Enchantress, but it seems it’s just that we are seeing her for the first time, since in Avengers #83 she does not actually appear. Better to re-read Avengers #83, but I am pretty sure that she is just the Enchantress doing all the "staging".
  9. I see what you mean, but I don’t know if with Liefeld that was intentional. With Thomas I believe he did not mean to use the character afterwards, and in the story it still is the Enchantress. We are just shown her impersonating a character that we did not know before but she remains the Enchantress. I don’ understand why the Marvel Wiki states #83 as Valkyrie appearing "as Enchantress" while it is the Enchantress posing as her, so the opposite.
  10. haha yup it will be 180 vs 181 all over again. No, it’s a lot simpler. See above. In this case, each one chooses what is important based on the stories. To me, they are all important, but I have to choose they are Hulk #126 and Defenders #4. I just love the Val/Barbara split venture.
  11. That is actually very simple, as we explained various times: – Avengers #83 is not the first apperance because it’s the Enchantress disguised as her, so it’s just the apperance of her features; – Hulk #142 is the proper first appearance but she is in the persona of Samantha Parrington, and the thing is temporary; – Defenders #4 is the first apperance of Val switching bodies with Barbara, so it is understandable, and makes sense, to consider it probably the most important, given that she is the Valkyrie identity people known and loved. Hulk #126 remains an absolute key book to me: part of the trilogy which lays the basis for the Defenders idea to come. And then there are the important Defenders issues with the Valkyrie origin story, in the #60s range.
  12. That’s a super-pretty raw copy… My #68 is a total rag!
  13. I don’t recall any Radj4ck's participations in PIF but I may be wrong…
  14. I will be on the lookout for one in the GD range myself soon. I have three books which I’ll try to offer as a partial trade.
  15. Not sure what you mean. Pressings, using the word properly, are just subsequent prints in the same print run (an example are the two different versions of Iron Man #15 or the FF #52 with the ink glitch in a plate, while a portion of the run does not have it). You must be referring to early reprint like the Golden Record, if so that is easy to spot as there are differences on the cover.
  16. I knew it was a bogus story. Den Of Geek must need some click-bait $$$. The sure sign that's it is true is that you will start seeing new licensed merchandise. Or the restart of the series… (thumbs u
  17. I wasn't acquainted with him, but I’ll pray for him and his family. I feel for his parents, as comix4fun said it appears they lost all three of their sons.
  18. Can I ask the point of this "locked points" thread idea? It has always been unintelligible to me.
  19. 1 week to Inhumans #1? Dang, I need to find a way to subscribe in the UK…
