  1. old days, 2011? or were you here before that? Sonny, I've read this place and examined it's society longer then people that joined with 50,000+ posts. I didn't join in 2011 to make emoticons to pad stats and hope to learn from others. I should point out that I mean that statement in friendly terms as well. I'm too old to give a s##t about drama. The "Sonny" part is, personally, my favorite. What do you collect? Whatever it is, it sucks, because what I collect rocks. -slym I collect rocks, sonny, anything wrong with that?
  2. That’s great to have you there – welcome! I rarely have read DC comics but knew your name by fame.
  3. This brings us back to whether a "hold" was implied pending the scans, if not, than it is a continuous negotiation only and no obligation has been created. That said, given the buyer's last reply posting the I'll take it pending scans, you would think if the seller disagreed he would have replied quickly to clarify, yes? Agreed. Absolutely. I totally sympatize with Gambit. If you have no intention to keep the book on hold, or to provide the scans in a timely manner, just say "I can surely get you scans, but I won’t put the book on hold, so that is at your own risk", and that’s OK. This "there are other books out there" is so "insufficiently thoughtful", so to speak…
  4. Love to see GD copies of Copper books – so well loved!
  5. Sorry Chris, I misunderstood. I believe you were talking of when Brock's own sales are crapped, and did not understand whether you were saying the strikes do not apply here or there.
  6. Sometimes Only when your name is Columbia Comics, you mean. But he does it with an incomparable class, you have to agree…
  7. I never saw the second Tomorrow the World, but I had the first (now sold to Jerome, here on the boards, in a charity thread).
  8. Even if I hope it goes away, questioning whether an ad, a magazine article or so, should be considered a "first apperance"…
  9. Not this again, please. That wasn't a correction, it was a request. Mine too That much was clear. And a tiresome one at that.
  10. I should post something cool and unusual to cheer him up…
  11. I’m sure Jim does not have a Macintosh – if someone is able to provide the combination of keys for Windows it could be useful for other "dinosaurs"…
  12. That’s great to have you here with the updates. I’ll pray for you. (thumbs u
  13. Beautiful #177 – the #175 and #176 should be a little tougher in higher grade…
  14. Wouldn't it be awesome if Marvel introduced a character called Cybrid, that looked like Cable, but with darker hair? Then we could argue about who that's a sketch of. They don't even have to make the sketch look like Cable. Just make Cybrid an Asian female assassin and everyone will still think that sketch is a prototype, ala the Wolverine "prototype" in Foom 2. (thumbs u Then we can argue about whether or not the name is enough for the sketch to be a prototype. Plus, it’s currently fashionable to have characters magically switch gender (see Thor).
  15. Not this again, please. That wasn't a correction, it was a request. Mine too…
  16. Loved this post… Are you saying that people at Marvel or DC don't care about characters, just reusing hollow trademarked names to hype pretty much wholly unrelated comics and characters as a money making scheme?! Say it isn't so!
