  1. I recall I loved when I have read the Annual (6?) where Peter discovers the information about his parents. I am still missing it in english and also the magazine you posted. Other single stories I deeply enjoyed… If you allow two-part stories, surely Marvel Team-Up #3-4.
  2. You are absolutely right as far as your sales threads go, but in the case discussed (which I aptly thought to comment here) the situation it’s pretty different, and we should consider all the "takeit" we post as a binding contract, unless there are serious reasons to cancel the sale.
  3. Welcome! (thumbs u You can’t go wrong with Iron Man #14 too, I have seen you picked it: one of the best stories of the early run, besides having one of Marvel's best covers ever, IMO.
  4. Not to make a case out of it, but – regarding jhutton's last sales thread, for which he had a cancelled deal, the reason brought was that "this wasn't a fair practice", referred to the fact he offered increasing discount offers at the end of the thread for the books left. Now I hope this nonsense does not become the norm: if I decide to gradually discount what’s left – say – up to 80%, it’s a choice and a deal offered not an "unfair practice".
  5. I see your point about the privilege thing, in that sense you’re quite right. But I still believe we should take a lot more care in electronic written communication: it’s neither spoken nor written word, but with the all the disadvantages and no advantage of both. Thank God for the emoticons! (Which at least remove some ambiguity, especially when unintended) . Hit and run sellers wont get much business here. Usually people looking for a steal. I too agree about it being a privilege, but your viewpoint on how to proceed just choosing the wrong road. It will do more damage to good sellers because honestly your viewpoint of a grade and my viewpoint of a grade are different. Ebay is proving this point the last year or two. Some new buyer doesn't like the grade of his book he bought. Doesn't matter that the grade is correct the buyer just doesn't agree with it. That's all ebay or paypal needs now. Education or not the book will get returned. I've even had a buyer tell me the grade was correct they are just picky. Its here as well we just have a more civil way of reaching agreement. You were replying to Red Hood, I suppose…

  7. wish I could draw I love the sketch very nice!!! Call it a "sketch" Its a full fledged inked piece, and pretty good from the picture, too! (thumbs u call it what you want the point is its damn cool Well, "sketch" has a precise meaning. It’s not me "calling whatever I want" – I just suggest to use the words correctly.

  9. Red Hood, don’t get me wrong, but you are bordering the presumptuous, and not only here, but in many of your last posts that I have read on similar topics… Hector is right, mostly because the seller does not seem to be overgrading on purpose. All it would take is to tell him, and then give advice via PM. That is, say "I believe you have overgraded the books, you might want to check the PGM forum" is OK, but not the sarcasm et al. That is threadcrapping, you get the point… Second, which kind of "privilege" might be selling on a public forum area, is beyond me. Even if it is hosted by CGC it remains a public forum.
  10. That’s a great price… I just keep hanging around too many things…
  11. Lovely Ronnie! I am still missing it… I must do something!
  12. Kevin, buddy, I love you man....but you got your apples and oranges mixed up at the local grocery store. These are little written contracts to buy and sell here. Offer, Acceptance, etc. The "last second" you are talking about where the parties can change their mind comes before one party names a price to anyone who accepts and someone accepts. We've got that here too. The list comes up after they've committed to buy or sell and everyone's locked in and agreed to perform. That falls under "a deal's a deal" because at that point it's sealed. CGC's not putting anyone on the list, it's the members here. We've seen some incredibly shady effers up in here and that list, if it serves no other purpose, doesn't let them hide in the shadows and repeat the actions over and over again. That's value. I don’t get the "troll" thing. He is absolutely right. It’s just dishonest to state a purchase and then cancel it. We have even an emoticon to make it the less equivocal possible: one is doing it consciously when he decides to purchase a book, and unless there is a further discussion and/or negotiation with the seller, there are no reasons for which he should run away like nothing has happened.
  13. Me too… I would love to have 2-3 copies to choose from.
  14. I understand what you are saying about Karnak, but aside from the fact that I find deeply offputting this childish idea of "hell dimensions" (hell in the sense of damnation has nothing to do with these), that "suicide" in the end is not a suicide. He speaks with Medusa, and supposedly Medusa should understand that "she has to forget many things she held for true" in order to guide the Inhumans through this time of change, but then nothing is explained, and at the beginning of issue #2 it’s like nothing happened. Fraction is a weird one, as a Marvel writer. Some elements of his FF were definitely good, but most was bad, and full of low-profile things. Probably he does not feel attuned to drama – there are no longer writer serious about dramatic elements, aside from a few – Soule in this sense is a breathe of fresh air as he even manages to pull it when he is ironic and humorous. See Thunderbolts, and I would like to read his She-Hulk too. Bradshaw: Ugh! He has some nice moments, but #2 is really badly drawn, IMO. Different inkers probably do not help…
  15. So it’s that actor? Nice… I have never seen S.H.I.E.L.D., I believe it’s on some pay TV here.
  16. I have just browsed/quickly read Inhumanity (which I had but had not read yet) and I must say I really do not like Fraction's writing. Soule had to bring back Karnak which apparently
  17. #18 and #19 are not out yet, but the "Last Days" one was #17…
