  1. Kamala, as any other people receiving powers from the activation of latent Kree DNA, gains them when exposed to the terrigen mists unleashed on the planet by Black Bolt. I believe this happens in some major title or crossover, like Infinity or Inhumanity. All of these people come to be called "NuHumans", or "New Inhumans", because as opposed to Inhumans they are not Inhuman born but just have latent Kree genome in their DNA, deriving from the early Kree experimentations on the human race. When exposed to the mists, either the special abilities manifest, or they apparently die in the process (this could not happen with Inhumans exposed to terrigenesis, I believe, as their inhuman DNA is always enough). Kamala knows nothing about this until she meets Lockjaw that brings her to Medusa, so you have not missed anything.
  2. I did not know about the second one… Not surprising to see it will feature Crystal. When I saw a number of the new characters introduced by Soule were powerful elementals (have you noticed that?) I immediately thought of Crystal and her power over all elements. Let’s hope they keep the quality consistent!
  3. You mean afterwards? I have read of Karnak getting the book written by Warren Ellis… but not of any other…
  4. Really? I liked #1 but not exaggerately #2 and #3. I restarted with #4 and liked the two Wolverine issues, but after #10 it really starts to rock. (thumbs u Also, the meeting with Lockjaw and the revelation she is a New Inhuman bought me immediately. And made me discover the work done "behind the scenes" in other titles. I have just read #15, where she confronts Lineage… Loved it. You should really pick Inhuman #1-14 and the Annual. +100 on the Inhuman run GREAT ! The Annual ending had me quite surprised…
  5. Also the introduction and first appearance of Dante (which takes the name of Inferno in issue 2) – Soule introduces a lot of characters, and it’s all done very well. (thumbs u
  6. P.S. I have read my first Inhumans stories about forty years ago, just so you know it’s just love for the characters that makes me critical.
  7. P.S. As far as the variants of the new series, I like the third one… (thumbs u But still prefer the regular cover, especially after having read the story.
  8. While I understand the desiderabilty of the limited print run, in this case I find most of the regular covers better. The Manara one is ugly, said from an italian which used to appreciate his art. The only ones I like are those to #6 and #7 (#7 because I like well done Deadpool "peeking in" covers… ). Madureira… I remember when he started and man he really did not know anatomy. Now is better, I quite enjoyed the first issues, but liked a lot more Stegman and Pepe Larraz. I have yet to finish to read the series (I miss #9 and #10) but I have read Uncanny Inhumans #0 and there are various things which leave me perplexed… I honestly hope Soule (pushed by Marvel?) does not abuse of this time-travel device. I was also perplexed about Medusa and Black Bolt's characterization and what happens (you know what) also leaves me pretty dubious… Let's see…
  9. Really? I liked #1 but not exaggerately #2 and #3. I restarted with #4 and liked the two Wolverine issues, but after #10 it really starts to rock. 10. Ryan Stegman art from #4, this is Reader – one of the new characters introduced by Soule – with his dog:
  11. And #2-8 (regular covers). Thumbnails are clickable.
  12. Since UltraMaximus did not post the regular covers of various issues, here’s the ones from my collection. (thumbs u Issue #1
  13. You can grab them for free even... Where are you finding them for free? Krighton snagged some for free in one of those giving tree threads. Good grab ! They were nine, offered by Revat, IIRC. Krig's follow-up offer was very solid anyway, so these were not properly "for free".
  14. Right, as much as I like this cover, I would never spend on it…
  15. I am, just recently discovered, and it’s one of the very few new Marvel titles I like. (thumbs u Soule is a very versatile writer. There are elements I don’t like, but I am truly a Marvel age purist, and compared to 90% of their writers, his writing is really outstanding. Out of curiosity, why did you choose to pick (in most cases) the variants alone? The cover to #7 is so beautiful. Love your #6 variant cover, anyway, especially after reading the story, which was great.
  16. I replied in your PGM thread. (thumbs u Now, just as a diversion – instead of talking of prices and "hot" issues alone, could we talk a bit about the stories? So far, the issues I enjoyed most have been the last ones, I still have to read #15 and beyond, but loved #13 and #14…
  17. The late issues where the Inhumans connection strenghtens and Ms. Marvel crosses her path with Lineage are also very nice… (thumbs u
  18. I loved this… It was my very first meeting with Howard the Duck, at a time where our italian publisher was about to go bankrupt. I recall it had been some time since I bought a Marvel book, I was about 12 years old and noticed this at the newsstand, bought and read it and said to myself: what a strange character (and "Status Quo" was quite a villain too… ). Of course I wasn’t aware of the Howard the Duck series (unpublished in Italy) but I loved Gerber for his writing on Omega and other series, and I liked this unusual Marvel Team-Up.
  19. We should just rename this thread the"what did you get today greggy" thread. Agreed!
  20. Well, often it’s just a lack of proper education. If no one educates you, hard to learn how to navigate properly…
