  1. Right, the Mole Man's house is also one of my favorite stories ever. Just wonderful also in terms of art.
  2. There is still the highlight of the gangster planet arc, and Torgo (#91-93). That is great, and fully reflects an environment well known to Jack, from which he was very inspired. (thumbs u
  3. I seem to recall the Baron Zemo leading the Thunderbolts was the son of the original Baron Zemo, the same which led the new Masters of Evil in the classic, wonderful "Under Siege" storyline by Roger Stern. Would this one be a relative? Anyway, this level of speculation is just ridiculous. Buy Thunderbolts because you liked the title, that will be more credible.
  4. I still don’t underdstand why one should want Thunderbolts #45 specifically. Isn’t Citizen V the second Zemo in disguise?
  5. so I need 66 & 67, eh? That goes for sure, if anything for the fact the story unfolds all the way through them: starting with the Sandman slipping in in #61, Blastaar joining the fun in #62 up to #63 – a little vacation on a desert island only to be life-threatened by the Kree Sentry in #64 (discovering there are other ancient not-exactly-friendly civilizations beside the Skrulls) – not a minute to breathe back home in #65 where a disturbing "shared" nightmare reveals that you’ve been sentenced to death by the Kree Supreme intelligence (via the courteous judgement of Ronan nonetheless). And in the meanwhile a mysterious figure, gliding through walls, has decided that Alicia's sculpting skills are required elsewere… go figure where? We'll discover it in #66 and #67, then hopefully we can have some rest. Yes, I’d say you need them.
  6. 1) It depends on the collector. 2) Yes, there is a lower distribution than Direct. 3) Unclear. 4) That depends on you. You should ignore directs, and only find newsstands, because there's a possible 2-5% price differential. Well, I always preferred directs and/or Whitmans as the barcodes are ugly.
  7. Nov. 2013 http://screenrant.com/marvel-netflix-deal-tv-shows-daredevil-luke-cage-iron-fist-jessica-jones/ Ah, I know these, but I thought they would use Luke Cage in this Defenders, did not recall he was supposed to have a telefilm of his own.
  8. That’s beautiful! I love the colors, more than the original ones. And if it is in black and white that is definitely a plus! Kirby shines in black and white.
  9. I did not even know they announced a TV show. All about Luke Cage?
  10. Something overpriced on MCS?! It‘s not a rule – they often have good prices too. It happens more than often with consignments.
  11. How you see the cover to FF#1 as "horrible" is beyond me. It’s a very nice composition, balanced and intriguing and it doesn’t let the reader imagine in full what lies within – he would expect a "classic monster story" while here we have what would have given a new meaning to the word "superhero".
  12. You must have never read Dr. Strange, as Mordo is among the foremost nemesis of Dr. Strange, more or less what Dr. Doom is to the Fantastic Four. Everyone has a favorite Doom story. Does anyone have a classic Baron Mordo story they'd like to share? Anyone? The fact that you are comparing Mordo to Dr. Doom already shows you are biased… And no, I don’t have a classic Dr. Doom story, there are many that I like. Mordo is important for what it represents, more than Dormammu.
  13. Blastaar… You should add "1st apperance of Blastaar" in pen to the label and have it reslabbed…
  14. Here’s my Kirby OA from #62 once again, to let you appreciate even more that beautiful 9.2 (my copy isn’t bad either but would like to upgrade it to whiter cover quality):
  15. So you bought them… #61-67 are an absolute must-have, then one can stop even if it would be great to stretch up to #102.
  16. So in this case the negative bias Jason could receive is fully deserved? I believe not, and that’s why I am commenting. I you don’t see this, I don’t know what to say. More than often it is helpful to try to mediate – something very unwelcome in an uncivilized society as ours is becoming… Of course mediating is a good thing. If Jason messed up, he will fix it and either not be put on the list at all or hopefully quickly removed if he is put on. He is not a scammer, a criminal or anything of the sort. He has had a lot going on, which I truly hope gets better, but by his own admission he has not conducted the transactions in the manner he intended. And here we get back to the ambiguity of written communication (closer to spoken word than to thoughtful writing): since you wrote "they are not exactly the best person to deal with" this (even if not in your intentions) did not sound apt to the case at hand. That’s my point: clarification is useful, very much, and trying to be not arrogant in one’s own reply (even if he has all the rights in what he is exposing) is always the best, as he will end up being acknowledged but he will also have shown more "empathy", so to speak.
  17. Because, inversely, you can read their minds? No, I allow the posters to say what they mean and take responsibility for it. Most of the time it is pretty clear. I am not getting this. Like that if there are third parties involved there is no responsability taken. If I write something, I write to try be of help, and nothing more. I have no idea what you mean in the first sentence. I was simply making a joke about the fact that you very often say that someone meant something when there is no way for you to know what they meant. Often they come back, and say they meant exactly what they said. Its not a bad thing, just funny to read. But you replied, and you wrote "I allow the posters to say what they mean and take responsibility for it. Most of the time it is pretty clear." Most of the time is not clear, it’s pretty evident. So I believe any good intentioned intervention can be of help, and if I misunderstood it’s easy to see: it was just my perception, but I still believe it’s useful.

  20. Said this, even if the Probation List is also for simple cases of uncompleted deals "in good faith", the perception of it it’s not exactly flattering, if I have to go by sales threads' descriptions. From a recent sales thread:
  21. Because, inversely, you can read their minds?
  22. You did it poletly, and with all the good reasons. But I believe he is right when he says you are somewhat moved by anger, even if you are absolutely legitimate in your complaints. He simply implied there was no need to post it also in the sales thread. As I said, any possible nomination should be discussed here, and in my opinion in should be on a "case by case" basis. It’s legitimate to ask "when you are going to fix it", and ask for a time frame, but let’s also be a bit reasonable as Jason is surely no perfect stranger, even if this time he is faulty. He has been utterly generous with people in need many times, always without looking back, so while I understand the buyers' frustration, I’d also say he deserves a bit of extra patience. Said this, I’d be eager to see a Brock's mystery box thread…
  23. On this point Claudio I see it differently. I do not think the PL was created with any assumptions of good or bad faith intentions but only to serve as a mechanism to complete incomplete transactions. The transaction could be off the rails because someone is indeed dishonest, or it could be a simple oversight which is corrected when made public. I understand that it is the "going public" portion of it that can seem disproportionate in the case of otherwise good faith mistakes or errors, and if things get fixed via PM all the better for everyone, but if the PM route is not getting the job done, than publicity has always been the next best medicine for getting things moving. (thumbs u I have also already replied to Robert, if you have noticed.
