  1. If it‘s what I think it is, it should almost be irrelevant, as it was due to printing machines. My copy is autographed by Jack, but I still have to post it…
  2. VERY sweet! That Annual #6 has very little to envy to the NM beauty on sale by Joey. Perfectly centered too.
  3. But the art was horrendous. This is from memory I haven't read it in a long time. I hated Bill S's art from that period. It was like he was drawing with psychedelic crayons while on acid. Just weird stuff. I belong to the pro Sienko team. But I will say this.. I always thought back then that Marvel's pick of Bill to draw a mainstream superhero book was a very strange one. Bill's work was definitely too avant garde for that title. But somehow they made it work. There was actually so much talent on that series back then.. Sienkiewicz, Adams, Mignola, BWS, Davis.. Bill Sienkiewicz just used to wildly experiment in "finishes" and page layout (to some degree). His artwork is solid as it can be: he knew anatomy, and alreay made his learning curve. But he did not understood how Warlock should be drawn/represented: something in which Alan Davis and Bret Blevins just excelled. (thumbs u I still have to read these Demon Bear issues, and I also believe some of my copies are so-so, but… oh well, who cares?
  4. A friend of mine which recently joined here (Atreides) would be super-super-super stoked about your bound volume (he totally loves bound volumes and collects Daredevil):
  5. I don't remember him being key to any of the storylines I cared about while reading Civil War, although I do remember that's when he became Penance, An incident involving the New Warriors is what got the ball rolling on registration. Considering they haven't shown up in the cinematic universe, it will almost certainly be something else (perhaps the whole Ultron fiasco will serve that purpose). Yea, don't bother trying to equate the comic story to the movie. It's already stretched very thin in terms of any resemblance to any characters. There's Cap and Iron Man and that's about all that's similar. There's always someone who needs to unload dreks. This!
  6. Wonderful collection, Federico! (thumbs u Most of mine are in average shape, as are the very same I bought at the newsstands, and I kept the late ones, as they were those which i personally purchased and read as a kid. For the Fantastic Four, I decided to go for the Gigante reprint, to which I am affectioned, when I find copies in nice shape, and so I am selling the rest.
  7. Second (or third, or fourth, I don’t remember… ) trade with Chris. This time he bought from me a batch of high grade Disney Don Rosa books helping me not to split them. Thanks again! (thumbs u
  8. Do not make these offers, or you’ll be flooded by requests… Kidding, but it might happen at times.
  9. The Star Wars collector box appears to contain many variants, so probably yes. Personally I would never pay much for these variants. They usually retail for 5 Euro, so unless they have a more limited print run (some do) I would not pay more than 10-15 Euro.
  10. That Annual is more than pretty! And it’s Suscha News… ehm…
  11. Federico, that Medalcalcio set looks awesome – I suspect it did not come for cheap… And the Corriere della Paura #1 still shrinkwrapped with the amulet… pretty scarce as well. (thumbs u
  12. Welcome Marco and welcome to 2013blackram. Which I warmly invite to not get into, or to get out, the "addiction" of keeping books slabbed…
  13. Ahh! Welcome and… that‘s great! (thumbs u
  14. And I agree… There does not seem to be color touch.
  15. Hi Marco! Giving the overall amount of creasing, I’d say GDVG (3.0) is the highest, more in the GD+ (2.5) range, IMO, but hard to tell without the book in hand.
  16. An hour left and it has broken the 2000 € barrier…
  17. The Thorn looks like quite a "Femme Fatale"…
  18. This will be DEFINITELY interesting to follow… (thumbs u
  19. Since I brought out the question: I am not speaking of more or less cartoonish style (but Campbell has something to learn about proportions yet, even if now he is a lot better) – the point is that she does not look like Mary Jane, and yes… he’s not alone in that!
