  1. @Bill: Try to see if your browser (from USA) visualizes correctly this search: http://www.ebay.it/sch/i.html?_odkw=guardiani+della+galassia&_osacat=246&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xguardiani+della+galassia+play&_nkw=guardiani+della+galassia+play&_sacat=246 If so, there are some on eBay.it, and some complete runs (five "slim" trade paperbacks were published). Here’s an auction with the full series for 30 Euro: http://www.ebay.it/itm/GUARDIANI-GALASSIA-1-5-COMPLETO-JIM-VALENTINO-PLAY-PRESS-/151398082384?pt=Fumetti_Occidentali&hash=item2340076750
  2. Glad you like it! If I manage to remember, I will scan a few others. I have strong memories of picking the early issues at the newsstand (which was also a dairy shop) while vacationing at my grandparents' in the country. I was conquered by the tone of realism which these stories often showed compared to the Hulk regular adventures. I still have my OO copies, well loved (the above one was bought later on).
  3. I can’t believe no one has grabbed Mike's offer! Kav, I totally love the flowery Wolverine!
  4. Probably you already know Mercury but… it can’t get more positive than this: https://www.facebook.com/raisingmercury
  5. In this case, I prefer to leave it for people who like to keep key books slabbed… I have no problems in deslabbing books, but the AT #25 is not among my priorities and if I can I avoid to deslab for nothing, I can surely wait…
  6. And Jason deserves it… Well, maybe not the adoration… he’s not an idol! Wow Mike, awesome offers… if that AT #25 was a raw copy I would have been tempted!
  7. This is a wonderful cover. The composition, the atmosphere, the delightful choice of colors (and skillfully applied)… it was among the first early issues I purchased, even if it was pretty costly for me at the time. Not so low grade, looks like a pretty nice copy!
  8. And these are the words of one of the directors of these Marvel movies?
  9. No. You really can see the lack of critical tools nowadays people suffer, being unable to judge what a good artist is. Not a "pleasant" artist, a good artist. A single example: Frank Quitely.
  10. I'm going to say the list is biased towards collectors born yesterday. Damn you, and your sigline worthy quotes! The Doc should get disinfested from Lady Death and Evil Ernie spores before making such statements…
  11. Fixed it. Your list is pretty sweet Letting alone how nice Valentino as a person probably is, the most dazzling juxtaposition is Valentino / Mac Raboy! Liefeld / Miller?
  12. I’m dumping all of them together and will just say: at least Marc Silvestri actually knew how to draw… Let’s not post the name of Frazetta between a bunch of people which do not even know how to draw, please…
  13. At least enough extra-special to compensate for the fact that I could not snag that ASM #18 from you, Andy!
  14. Thanks on my part as well, Batmiesta! That’s another reason for which these boards are awesome: I have had similarly lasting memories like Pedro in reading a number of the Hulk magazines stories as a kid in Italian. I have been grabbing some magazines, venturing in the collecting of the originals, for the first time lately, and now I have to have that #18! I think in Italy they just published the issues with the color stories (after title switches from "Rampaging" to just "The Hulk") and where the covers were picture frames, they used the artwork full size. As a nice example, a great Earl Norem one: I second that! (thumbs u
  15. If you think so… believe me, you haven’t seen some Marvel UK mid-1980s magazines…
  16. Beauty! I agree on a solid VFNM. Is this your collection's copy? One of my favorite issues ever!
  17. I think you are 100% right about the complex nature of such an idea. The thread can work, but requires enough generosity. What I question is the nature of this "negativity": not all perceived "negativity" was necessarily negativity: our discussion over the Meeklo issue, for example, had nothing to do with bringing negativity to the thread, as I simply did not see fair how you treated him, no matter the offers quality. Any given criticism in this case was legitimate, and not a criticism on the thread. And when I asked questions it was just to understand better how the rules worked, but often people seem to be able just to post "facepalms", and that helps very little to understand questions at large.
  18. And in which way he has been helpful? I’m not saying being realistic is not good: he was just impolite and annoying. And how I could have been "disruptive" I’d be very curious to hear from you, since you seem to have been reading so much into my posts from a certain point onwards.
  19. My "obvious reasons" (how can they be so obvious if they are another person's reasons is beyond me ) have been clearly stated many times. There are surely a combination of factors, and Jiminy Cricket could only bring annoyance, if he continues the way he behaved so far. What are the obvious reasons? Are you replying to Hector? My reasons have been stated in my last two or three posts… mainly a lack of interest in the specific offers, no matter the quality which has always been generally good.

  21. That’s another reason: I am partially interested in Spidey (certain issues and story arcs) but many offers had books that I either already had, or not among those I was looking for. Also, not being a priority for me, I’d favor other books or series. Surely I would appreciate a low grade ASM #4.
