  1. I went, and really enjoyed it. It was my first experience with Troughton. They showed it during the Christmas binge. Did anyone else watch it?
  2. That looks awesome. . . and I see your Rachel Rising Black Omnibus!
  3. Oh, I assumed all graded books had graders notes It depends on several factors and there is only general guidance, not any hard and fast rules. But there are LOTS of books with no graders notes. I spoke with a grader about graders notes in general once. Interesting discussion. Graders spend a lot of time writing these notes. It adds significantly to the time to grade a book... They hand write them, then go back? There's a much faster way for doing that.
  4. I was trying to pinpoint something that was "missing." I saw it again this past weekend, when I took my nephew, and I figured it out. There were some contextual questions that I would have appreciated a little more in-depth explanation. . . we got enough that the story made sense, but I found that the story became more interesting to me when I came home and did some reading on Jedah, on kyber crystals, Galen Erso, and Krennic, I actually liked the movie more.
  5. I thought this movie did more for Vader's mythology than the entirety of Episodes I-III. Solidified why people were right to avoid him when Episode IV rolls around. I enjoyed Rogue One. I thought there were opportunities to make this a great movie instead of what I thought was very good, and I would have appreciated the tie-ins with the music and the rolling story at the beginning. People keep using "bleak." Sure, but this was the turning point for that. . . I did miss one scene from the trailer. All in all. . . I still asked for an X-wing for Christmas. A real one.
  6. I got Thursday at 10:15 pm and then Friday at 11:45 am. Different formats, and I had the day off.
  7. This reminds me that I need to get the replacement cable for my scanner. . .
  8. I did. No room for it, but I'll figure that out later. She'll look great with Batgirl and Batman. I plan on putting her with Batgirl and Black Canary. I thought about putting them with Power Girl, but I have an Amanda Conner sketch I'd like to pair that one with, and if I can find a She-Hulk, I have another sketch for her. I don't have a lot of Marvel statues. Now, I just need them to do Flash and Martian Manhunter. I'd love that as a Justice League group.
  9. I would have had more money for EVERYONE if this show and Comicpalooza hadn't been practically on top of each other for the couple of years I went. I had to know exactly how much I could spend. If I spent an extra $100 at the first show, I'm out something at the last show. I probably would have had 50% more cash, if it hadn't been like that.
  10. I got my ASM #700 variant signed, the one with all the names. It looks great, I got to meet him, and I'm more than happy with the book.
  11. I just submitted a request to get the day off.
  12. The writers said they had a 30-page description of the Upside-Down. They were just giving us snippets, and holding back quite a bit to focus on the main storyline as a way to introduce things slowly.
  13. I saw it today. I thought the reviews were overly harsh. I agree with what someone said about the antagonists needed a boost. I would have liked to see Katana get a couple of Harley's scenes, and I actually would have liked a little less Joker. Use that time for Boomerang.
  14. Having worked in a lab that handled urine samples (I didn't work on them. . . I'm a histotechnologist, but these went to our cytologists), not only is the paperwork a huge issue, but the samples may not be usable, depending on the tests being performed.
  15. I just bought a house in June. I've got two extra bedrooms, one of which I'd like to use for my comics. I just have no idea what to do with it. Reading room or organizational space? What of the millions of little things to display? Where to put what doesn't make it into that room? I'm just in this thread looking for ideas right now. . .
  16. Maybe one of the Bowen Hulks, like the one by the Shiflett Brothers.
  17. She's my favorite, so I already ordered it.
  18. I had a Modern FT sub sent 4/29 and got it back 5/25. I had an Economy FT sub sent the same day and got it back on 6/15.
  19. I just got the grade for the 510 (non-sketch) that I sent in. . . 9.6. Not bad for one a picked up at a con a few years back for like $50 for my X-Men run.
  20. I agree. It probably helps to see some of the amazing statues coming out from other places, as well.
  21. Just got an email from Sideshow that they got the Darkseid PFs in-house, and scrapped them back to production due to quality issues.
  22. This came up at Wizard World. I guess someone asked Chloe Bennet about it, and she wants it more intertwined.
