One more book. All-True Romance #24 - 2.5 - $39 $29 shipped People seem to like these post-code Ajax romance, which aren't always easy to find. Long spine split at bottom. Both staples are still attached, though bottom one is pulling away, Book is musty, like so many romance comics.

Manhunt #2 - 0.5 qualified incomplete - $140 $90 shipped Some might call this comic wrecked. I'm going to call it "entry level." This is a Manhunt #2! With a classic electric chair cover. Someone has done a number on this copy: First, the centerfold is missing. This affects the Kirk of Scotland Yard story. Second, as you can see, there's tape all along the spine. Third, someone cut the bottom 1/4 inch or so off the entire book. This was not an attempt at trimming, because that would have been pointless given the rest of the problems. No, I was told this was a "library copy." Both the tape on the spine and the book being shortened have something to do with that. However, miraculously, the bottom of the book being cut off has not affected the interior stories - I have included a photo to show this. Lastly, the book is quite musty. A CGC 3.0 sold for close to $700 in 2019. This obviously is not close to even that. I'm just going to make up a number, which is $140 $90, and see how it goes.

1. in thread trumps PM conversations. 2. In the case of multiple PMs, or take its, I will go by time stamp. 3. no HoS/probation people please. I'm Crimebuster, not Crimeenabler 4. shipping is FREE to the U.S., or $25 to Canada. Any import fees to Canada to be paid by the recipient. I wish this was easier, but they have made things real messy to ship up to Canada. 5. Paypal only please 6. please pay promptly, I have a crimefighting monkey sidekick to feed 7. If there's any kind of issue with the books, let me know within one week of receiving it and we can figure out some kind of return. But I don't anticipate any issues!

The Black CAT club (Cerebus1, Albedo 2, TMNT1)
Crimebuster replied to WolverineX's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
If memory serves, I seem to recall in a letter column late in the original Elfquest run the Pinis revealed they had indeed found a box or two that were never distributed and were selling them by mail to fans. I don't have my issues anymore to verify this memory is correct, but I think that was the case. -

Newbie Question on Golden Age Marvel Family Comics
Crimebuster replied to Happy Noodle Boy's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
I'm no expert, but many Golden Age Canadian editions are in black and white instead of color, and often have lower page counts. I have a few that are missing stories as a result - they have 2 stories instead of 3, for instance. I don't mind them at the right price, though. My Girls' Love Stories #1 is a Canadian edition and it cost about 1/3 what a U.S. edition in the same grade would have. That's okay by my wallet! -
I will have a new round of books for trade at some point that I will bring here to the CGC forums, yes. Probably 1-2 months. But it may not be the books I received from these specific trades. After I close this thread, I'll be taking the remaining books in my trading pool to other venues where I do trades - YouTube, reddit, Instagram - to do more swapping. So hopefully by the time I rotate back to here, there will be a whole new pool of books! Speaking of which, I'll be closing this thread tomorrow! Thanks for all the support, everyone!

Thanks to a tip from @electricprune I was able to get this personal grail of mine: This was the last I needed for a full set of first issues from DC's big seven romance titles. Of course, three of those - including Young Romance - started at other publishers, so here's the group shot with all seven #1 issues as well as the first DC issues of those three titles:

Strange Tales #169 - 4.0 - $270 trade There's a long crease lower part of front cover that's a little more apparent in hand than in the scan. Note a short, deep scratch on the back cover by the NFL Electric Football game. It's close to a tear, but maybe not quite. Looks nice for the grade! Who doesn't love back cover flaws!
-
Doctor Strange #169 - 4.5/5.0 - TRADED This is probably a 4.5 technically, but I want to call it a 5.0, so I'm just going to hedge and call it both. Extensive vertical creasing parallel to spine. The creases are more apparent in hand than in the scans, which is odd. The rest of the book is really nice, great color.

Welcome to Round 7 of my Great Trading Challenge! Last year I started a challenge: using dollar bin finds only, I am trying to trade up to an All-Star Comics #8! Along the way, as I find new dollar bin treasure, I am adding them to the pool. But no matter what I find or trade for, I'm not keeping anything for my personal collection until I reach the All-Star Comics #8. My hope is that I can find the books you want for your collection and trade them for you in exchange for something you no longer need that will get me one step closer to my ultimate goal! So if you have some books that don't fit in your collection but are worth some money, consider trading them to me and get something you want in return! This is round 7. I'm hoping to combine some of these books, so I'm especially interested in trading two or three of mine for one of yours. But I will consider any and all offers! These are the books I have to trade today, along with the trade value: Marvel Spotlight #32 - 9.0 - $310 Doctor Strange #169 - 4.5/5.0 - $300 Marvel Premiere #28 - 8.0 - $280 Strange Tales #169 - 4.0 - $270 Avengers Annual #10 - 9.0 - $140 Power Man and Iron Fist #66 - CGC 9.4 - $125 Flash #152 - CGC 7.0 - $75 X-Men #136 - CGC 7.5 - $60 Shanna the She-Devil #1 - 2.0 - $45 StarSlayer #2 - 9.0 - $35 Richard Dragon Kung-Fu Fighter #5 - 4.0 - $25 Red Ryder #65 & $85 - 4.0 - $25 Micronauts #1 Whitman variant - 8.0 - $25 Pictures to follow shortly! My scanner broke partway through, so some have scans, some have photos.
