Anyone from Worcester, MA remember the comic / sci-fi bookstore on South Main Street just before you got to Webster Square? I've been trying to remember the name of that place but it escapes me. I got a lot of great books there, even though the owners were classic Comic Book Guys.

Time to buy up copies of More Fun #52!!

I'm trying to decide whether to stop now, or add in a bunch of stuff. I've got some big lots of SA and BA books I could put up of people are interested - Action, Superman, Phantom Stranger, Tomb of Dracula, I'm not even sure what else. Anyone interested in lots, or should I just call it a day?

The mailman brought me some Archie goodness today, including #50. Hurray!!

Strange Adventures #187 - 3.0 - $45 1st appearance of The Enchantress This book got wet at some point, so it has that ripply feel of a book that dried out. You can see the water effect most clearly on the back cover. There's also a heavy indentation you can see on the back cover above American Seed - like a thumbnail, but this goes through about half the book. Someone must have dropped something on it. A cool first appearance you don't see that often.

Sounds like a real crappy thing to say to someone.

Archie's Pals N' Gals #23 - Incomplete - $50 First Josie The Josie story is intact! Three pages have been removed - 2 betty pinups, 2 veronica pinups, 1 gag strip, and the last page of one of the stories. However, the Josie story is complete, as are all the other stories. Low grade copies of this are going for $125-150 on ebay. Since this is incomplete, let's drop it down to $50.

Sold! Black Cat Mystery #29 - 1.8 - $80 Spine split top and bottom. Bottom staple detached, top staple barely hanging on. Transition into horror issue!

Warlock #1 - 4.0 - $40 Looks like a nice 6.0, but there's some schmutz on the front cover that doesn't come up in the scan on the villains in the bottom left corner. Combined with the bc issues, let's call it a 4.0. 1st issue, MCU, black frame cover. What's not to love?

Marvel Super Heroes #17 - 4.0 - $55 Black Knight origin and really sweet cover. Eternals and MCU movie hype. These squarebound black covers aren't forgiving!

Ms. Marvel #18 - 8.0 - $175 1st full Mystique I want to call this an 8.5, but the back cover holds it back a little. A press and a clean might bump this one, not sure. Some of the prices this book is fetching on ebay are crazy! A copy with massive water damage on the back cover sold for $141! I think this is a good deal, and I'll even throw in for free a low grade Ms. Marvel #17 as well.

More books coming when I have time. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. Ms. Marvel #18, Marvel Super-Heroes #17 (Black Knight), Warlock #1, and whatever else I can dig up. I should probably just call J.G. Wentworth, because I need cash now!!

Personally, I think the Roger Stern run is excellent, and hardly a low period. Though the Milgrom art doesn't do anybody any favors. I mean, this issue still shouldn't be worth anything, don't get me wrong. But it's not a bad era for stories.

Wow Comics #34 - 3.5 - $75 $65 Someone traced over a bunch of stuff on the back cover with a pencil. But not the front, thankfully. PQ is okay except that extreme bottom right corner, which you can see had some toastiness that led to chipping.
