  1. This exactly. I'm really glad this movie struck a cord for so many, but it wasn't my cup of tea. It was miles better than the Joss Whedon version, but that's not saying much. I think there may be a very good 2 hour movie in there, but the 4 hours were more than I needed.
  2. No kidding. Putting five magic stones in a metal gauntlet forged by space dwarves and with a snap removing half of all sentient creatures in the universe is totally believable, but bring them back with a snap and not having them on the freeway or merged with another person?!?! That’s a bridge too far. We’re getting beyond what is believable.

  4. He's got his phone number on his order form. Have you tried calling him? (Oh and @TerrysComics)
  5. Anyone notice Joey updated his website? (Or more likely hired someone to update it).
  6. My tendency is to get an overall feel for the comic first. Then to look for any disqualifying issues. So the first thing is to assign a Good/Fine/NearMint grade. This overview can kind of give an "accumulation of defects" wide eye view to give an idea about where it will grade. After I get my gut feeling for the comic I will look carefully over the comic to look for defects I missed in the birds eye view and to determine if it's a vg/f or a f+ etc.
  7. I don't know if they were ever in the half price range in the last 20 years or so, but they definitely used to be at somewhere from 20%-40% off. Now with people not having the prejudice against these variants and even having preference for them I would guess they are getting close to parity and will probably follow Canadian price variants to being more valuable. They aren't something I'm interested in though so less expensive/more expensive doesn't really matter to me.
  8. who says they were actually in the same condition? the initial info we saw had AF 15 nearly 2X the ASM 1 price, I am assuming in the same grade But it's not only that. In the old days most everyone was a run collector. ASM 1 was the start of a famous run. In the same way X-Men 94 was about the same value as GSX 1.
  9. If I were selling it fixed price I’d put $350 or $400 on it and see what happened.
  10. Until they realize that Stamps and Model Railroads are the OG collectible. Then they will all flock to them, despite having no childhood connection to those.
  11. No. It's not like the old thumbsu emoji where it was only used as an FU. Sometimes it's actually because you say something funny.
  12. Ok, so quick question on Instagram. How do those of you who post slabs get the whole picture to show up? I tried posting a few comics and it showed just a partial picture. Do I need to retake photos with certain settings?
  13. I've just been adding people from the boards. There are a lot who posted their usernames in this thread:
  14. See, this is a good thing. The fact that the More Fun #73 is your personal grail and not anyone else's means you could purchase it without having to bid against all the rest of us who would rather own Batman #1, All Star #8, or probably countless other comics.
  15. Own none of them. None are in my collecting focus. Bat #1 all day.
  16. CGC, like any company, has a right to decide how they do business. I assume they think it protects their brand not to slab comics that are near to pornographic.
  17. Yeah my accountant tells me I should change from a W-2 contractor to a 1099 contractor for this reason.
  18. Not sure if you are trying to get the thread locked @jcjames, but, in case you aren't, quoting Ayn Rand is a pretty good way to get it locked.
