  1. So he sees all these remakes of movies where there is a gender swap or a race swap and says it's lazy. Of course it's lazy, but it's not the gender swap or the race swap that makes it lazy. It's the fact they are remaking movies rather than coming up with something new, In fact remaking them without gender swapping or race swapping would be even more lazy.

  8. Yeah, me too. That and my dad's first name was Jim I guess is what really attracted me to these. My dad had a collection from around the same time frame and of similar content, but much poorer condition. I didn't hold on to them, so this was my way of getting some of those back. Just a stone's throw away from where I grew up as well. Well, as long as you could throw a stone around 150 miles.

  17. The article makes the claim he’s the current ‘king of comics’. Got me thinking, who is the biggest old timer left? Is it Neal? John Romita Sr.? Jim Steranko? Who’ve you got?
  18. Yeah, friends from when I was young aren't interested in comics any more. Work friends aren't interested. Nor are friends from church or other friends. But I've met some boardies for get togethers quite a few times and would consider them my friends.
