  1. If you use the # sign you can search title and number. Like “Amazing Spider-Man #129” will take you to a list of all Comics that have Amazing Spider-Man in the title and an issue #129.
  2. Zelle has no BUYER protections. Which in the case of the OP question makes it somewhat ideal for a seller. No reversed charges or disputes. When you have their money you have their money. Getting the buyer to agree to this might be a bit difficult though since, as I mentioned above, it has no buyers protections.
  3. With the huge amount of data George has amassed by this time I would love for him to hire a data scientist to do a multivariable analysis to try to get some kind of price guide rather than just price reporting functionality.
  4. Season 3 appears to have dropped.
  5. I guess I must be on ignore? You missed my example: 1940 - Fox Features has a hero “Thor: God of Thunder” in Weird Comics #1. Thor is a hero who wields a hammer and throws lightning bolts. EDIT: Here’s GCD’s info “Thor, the son of Odin, chooses a mortal, Grant Farrel, and imbues him with the God of Thunder's powers and abilities. Thereafter, Grant is known as Thor when he changes shape and assumes the form and powers of the Thunder God.”
  6. An internet poll came up with results that might not be very accurate?!?! Color me shocked!! Now I'm going to go chug my can of Mountain Dew Diabeetus while I do my research on the RRS Boaty McBoatface.
  7. So with a grader like Steve joining MCS should we expect their grading standards on raw comics to more closely mirror CGC and CBCS or should we expect them to keep their ultra tight standards?
  8. I don't think CGC will verify these without a representative witnessing the signatures. You may have to send this in to the other guys.
  9. It reminds me of so many GA coverless comics that CGC has the "Classic Cover" notation on.
  10. I thought we couldn't change our grades once submitted? Yeah they were sitting there ready to send for the whole week. I kept going back and forth on the grades until I gave up trying to guess how CGC was going to treat certain defects.
  11. I entered my grades Monday and revisited every day since. Mostly kept same grades. Minor changes throughout the week. After all that I'm sure they are all off by at least 6 increments.
  12. I thought CGC's mislabeling of foreign comics was based on interior content. Not cover. Do we know what the interior contents of that are?
  13. Actually I would say the main difference is consistency. The best of EC (Master Race, Judgement Day, A Baby, etc.) is really pretty good. But for every excellent story like these there were a dozen simple stories about conmen getting their comeuppance.
  14. Have you read any of them recently? They were miles ahead of the comics of their times. But compared to Gaiman's Sandman and Moore's Swamp Thing they were pretty juvenile.
  15. I'd go even further and say that until The Dark Knight and The Watchmen almost all comics were juvenile and aimed at kids. (Underground comics excepted)
  16. I'm not trying to convince anyone. Someone asked what I would consider a character's first appearance in comics, and I simply said for me it's when the character first appears in comics.
  17. That is correct. From my understanding Superman first appears in an advertisement in More Fun Comics #31. It's not his first "in continuity" appearance. It's not his first "full" appearance. It's not his most valuable appearance. It's not his most sought after appearance. But it is his first appearance in comics.
  18. Now if you really wanted to get me going it would be in an X-Men 201 type situation. In retcon I would never consider it a first appearance. For that matter I don't think Tales To Astonish 27 is Ant-Man's first appearance. Hank Pym's, yes. But not Ant-Man's.
  19. Whose fist is it? Doomsday's? Did he appear anywhere else before this? No? Then this is Doomsday's first appearance. Maybe not the most collectible Doomsday comic. Maybe not the most valuable Doomsday comic. Maybe not a full body appearance of Doomsday. But this would be Doomsday's first appearance. Expand What if his fist was in an advertisement earlier than this page? Was it Doomsday? Did he appear anywhere in comics before the advertisement? If it was Doomsday and it was the first place he appeared it would be his first appearance. Would it be his most important appearance? No. Would it be his most valuable appearance? No. Would it be his first appearance? Yes.
