  1. Sorry I wasn't clear. It was the immacuclean guy not the dry erase people. If you watch the video he is actually doing a wet cleaning in the video.
  2. So, bumping this since this guys videos just surfaced in my YouTube feed. He has one out now saying his product gets blue labels. Is this because CGC doesn't know how to check for wet surface cleaning? Or was it just that they missed it? I thought, as you said, that any wet cleaning led to conserved or restored label.
  3. I’m with @Buzzetta. Not great, but nowhere near as bad as some are making it out to be. The main problem in my mind is that Waititi was not the one to make a Gorr the god butcher film, and now was not the time for it. Had they had someone else do a Gorr film now it would have been too much. Every Thor film so far has had tragedy after tragedy befall Thor. Doing Gorr right now would have been way too much. Just rename him Job at that point. I’m sure they could have found another lighter arc they could have done now with Waititi directing. Then do a more serious Gorr arc later.
  4. This is Marvel’s about page. I don’t see any mention of politics there either: https://www.marvel.com/corporate/about
  5. You can’t trick me. I’m not throwing away my shot.
  6. It’s definitely not a swipe, a homage at most, but the classic GA cover it is always compared to is Detective Comics 31: I personally don’t think it’s a homage, but given that Steranko’s a comics historian I can’t rule it out entirely.
  7. @BlowUpTheMoon @thunsicker Unfortunately the back door hack I had was for the old board software.
  8. Also I believe it was @mschmidt who had a thread with step by step directions on how to make one with pvc tubing that I can’t find anymore.
  9. Plus comparing FMV's of one comic that has sold 3 copies in the last 90 days with one that is based on a couple copies sold in 9.4 almost a year ago.
  10. Furthermore as a lover of comics I'm trying to get my kids involved. And if selling off a few comics is the price for their engagement, so be it. There are plenty of Shomburgs I have left and many more that I could buy if I could afford them.
  11. I probably should have tried to compromise and just not display those comics anymore. But I can understand their reluctance to walk their black friends past stuff like this:
  12. I wish I could say I just passed them on, but as it was somewhere in the $15k to $20k range for all the comics I needed to move I ended up selling them through MCS.
  13. Not really. I have some of Schomburg's cheesecake covers. But I'm not sure they sexualize women any more than this sexualizes men That said, it is something I want to keep in mind.
  14. I know a lot of it is that there is too much fragmentation, but I believe there might be some that is due to the buyout by Discovery. Discovery made its money by putting out low cost TV (reality tv, cooking shows, house fixing shows, etc.). Not sure if they are willing to spend the money that HBO spent to make premium content. That said I guess any effects of the Discovery buyout wouldn't be felt quite yet.
  15. I recently moved a tranche of my Schomburg covers as my children had been pestering me to get rid of comics I own that have worrying racial stereotypes on the covers. (Whitewash Jones/WW II Japanese).
  16. Sorry I was on my phone and used copy paste which this site uses "match source formatting" rather than "use destination formatting". I apologize. I've edited it now that I'm logged on to my computer. And I apologize if anyone thought I was accusing someone of white supremacy. I was merely suggesting that the fact that special interest groups were why they ranked the films the way they did might not be accurate as 4 of the top 5 (and indeed 9 of the top 10) films they ranked had white male protagonists. And I agree with you that Winter Soldier is the best Marvel movie.
  17. So most powerful interest groups are: Black Panther - Africans Guardians of the Galaxy - White men Iron Man - Powerful White industrialists Thor: Ragnarok - White Australian men Avengers: Endgame - Mostly white men You May actually be on to something here. Other than #1 they all represent America’s most powerful interest group.
  18. The other thing you can do is look at the grading notes to see why they gave it the grade they did. You might have missed a flaw that they caught.
