  1. In case any of you wanted a signed copy... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-Adventures-12-1993-DC-1st-app-Harley-Quinn-SIGNED-STAN-LEE-SS-CGC-9-8-/371472882180?hash=item567d825a04:g:x8UAAOSw5VFWLl3Y
  2. I think the scene is where Batman is jumping out of the tank to fist fight the mutant leader in a mud hole at night - it seems about right
  3. Did we really need to draw the teenage Carrie with nipples? It bugs me when artists do this for no good reason Artists known for their sexy women are going to (tend to) draw all women sexy. Even chubbies and non-humanoid aliens. And so? Much larger debate for other forums (fer sure), but until the post-WWII era, this idea of post-menses 'underage' didn't really exist. Presently it's just an arbitrary number chosen, a legal line in the sand, not as if there's some sort of magic that happens physically/mentally at age 16, 17, 18...the year the 'magic' happens all depending on which state you're in?? Not making any sort of argument on that subject here, just that it's not as big a deal to everyone as some folks might assume. We all know the average age that female menses begins...that is the real physical change signalling -at a minimum- physical maturity. The rest just follows. And before we bash up Biz too hard, maybe...somebody should mention to the parents of all those teens at the mall...they'd be doing their daughters a favor if they dressed them 'up' as much as even Carrie. Most wear much less. And tighter too. No matter what any of us thinks, the culture seems to be moving younger and younger, sexier and sexier, with little regard for the legalities (that aren't moving) or the fact that it seems people have very different opinions when it's their daughter on displays vs. "teenagers". Ya know? At least she isn't facing the other way I think the issue is more that Carrie Kelley is a very non-sexualized 13 year old in DKR. That's kind of rare in comics and it kinda takes away from the character to give her D-cups. Not that I care. For all I know, he could be drawing the character as she appears in DKIII. But I doubt it. Yes that is actually the issue for me. Not discounting the comments about kids at the mall (no arguments on your point), just seems like this is a sexualization of something for no reason - there are plenty of female characters who have this built in - can't you just leave it for those? Why do we have to draw nipples on a kid to draw attention to a story/character which is already good and getting massive attention? We can see the smallest ab muscles in Batman, but of course not his nipples. Just makes me annoyed I think because the hobby already has so much of that - where is the need or even desire to extend it here? Seems lazy and selfish in a way.

Too easy. Aren't they both more interested in The Batman? Seeing Fire Bug is great! Also, will Miss Kringle become Killer Frost?
  6. That would take some SERIOUS cash it sounds like based on prices I've seen here
  7. At NYCC they talked about how Azzarello flew out monthly for the two of them to work on story together. That said, Frank made several comments indicating this is Brian's story and he's been a "consultant" on it - he said at one point he's "excited to read it," which doesn't sound like the comment of an author. I think you might be right - DC has really wanted it clear this is his project about which they've talked on and off for several years - his world, the third chapter of his story. His personal comments about it didn't seem to fit with that kind of ownership unless he's being incredibly humble and wanting to shine light on his partners.
  8. Thanks! I'm not sure what you mean by "costume"... (I am or was - it's been a long time, and I think I have less than half a dozen posts)
  9. Did a bunch of work on my office this weekend (which is the comic room). I finished the bookcase door a little less than a year ago and on the opposite side of the room is a little closet area I've wanted to turn into the batcave. Finally took the time to do that over the weekend. It's about 80% complete:
  10. That's a purdy copy brother. Grats! That's a beauty!
  11. Thanks for the kind words about my cover everyone! There were some really killer DK3 covers done by some of the absolute best artists in the biz today and I was just trying not to get laughed off the stage. Very humbling. As for the UK shop featuring my particular cover, give them some time--they were at the NYCC and are traveling home today. You might want to follow up with them after they get a chance to catch their breath. Scott Great to know thanks!
  12. Mr Williams it's beautiful. I've tried reaching out to the UK shop which will have the issue - no luck so far. Crossing my fingers I can get a copy!
  13. Batgirl Excellent! I added that one last week too! (posted in the "club" for TEC 359) Congrats!
  14. Yeah I liked it a lot - though every motivation from the original season is now gone. So, I'm curious what bigger storyline they'll use to continue to develop the characters personally.

I actually meant your logic/argument was a "straw man" - your explanation that either Jerome was the best fit or they'd already found someone better - those aren't the only options. C) they haven't yet or never plan to cast the actual joker But I think we're on the same page either way (thumbs u

What!?!?! I loved the character and he did the junior Joker pretty well, in my opinion. + 1 And I would think there are many others like appreciated his performance. I thought so too. It wouldn't shock me if they somehow brought him back 'from the dead' eventually. Here is my reasoning: When I was thinking about it, I figured there was one of two ways to go: Jerome either was or was NOT the Joker (duh). In my opinion, he was the perfect young Joker for TV; So if that were the case, when they cast for the character they chose him for what are, to me, obvious reasons. However.... The flip side is...what if he ISN'T the eventual Joker? That would mean that whomever is doing the casting already had tagged a different actor to be the Joker. Someone who is more 'Joker-ey' than Jerome was. A better fit. I dunno, I'm not seeing a better fit, but that's just me. If their intention is to simply use Jerome as a catalyst for a different actor to pick up the role....who gets that role? Or is it something they ignore until the very end of the series? Straw man - they don't have to have cast the joker at all. We all know the Joker's back story has a lot of mystery. Not to mention, Batman himself has a significant part in creating the Joker (it's a big part of his inner conflict and assessment of his greatest failures). I suspect they'll use a few of these character types over the seasons to tease the Joker's spirit without any of them being the actual Joker.

Fox seems to have changed their website - I can't watch last night's episode without logging in to my cable provider (which I don't have). Frustrating
