Picked up a 2nd printing at my LCS (only had 2 copies) since I really like that cover. Skipping the Phantom variants for now unless a particular cover really takes my fancy.

While I agree that the IGN review was somewhat unconventional and the reviewer didn't justify some of his comments -- the issue wasn't the fact that the there was 'too much text', it's the fact that the narrative was long and drawn-out (pacing-wise). I think it could have been delivered better, and in that respect I agree with the comment on having some editing done on the issue. That said, I'm certainly going to read #3 to see how it pans out.

I felt similar but not so much to call it weak. Just the point where you have to let the story unfold a little. I'm still as excited for #3 as I was after reading 1. You're right, maybe weak was too harsh - pretty decent issue but I think he could have tightened up what was a fairly dialog-heavy issue. Look forward to #3.

I actually thought #2 was weak. The narrative pieces were long and drawn out - solid, but I expected more after the first issue. Still, interested to see where this leads.

His stuff is great, I haven't read CPG but the art definitely has that Wrightson vibe to it - lovely.

Err, ok. Thanks for the indepthness (thumbs u considering that I was thinking of getting them for... My own collection and not to flip. Sorry, most of us are already worn out with all the variants and pricing at this point (I certainly am) - seems like you're covered above regardless. Prices have generally been coming down fairly steadily if you track completed auctions on eBay (contrast RRPs going for $150+ during NYCC and shortly after).

I think Merle might have burned his bridge with Glen. I agree. I think it'll create good drama if Darrell wants his brother to join but after what he did to Glenn and his feelings for Rick, it'll be interesting to see what happens. I think Darrell is going to end up having to choose between the group and his brother at some point I think Merle might have a little "Vader's Redemption" in his future. +1

Had the same issue come up a few months ago and ended up going 18x24, after some research. The majority of my collection is in 13x19s so not something I wanted to do but I actually have a few other pieces in the larger one now so it ended up being useful for more than the initial oversized piece.

Agreed, I know people's strong viewpoints have a lot to do with their possible financial investment in the title but this is getting somewhat silly. Vote with your wallet. I was initially looking forward to collecting the run, but now will be picking the title up (digitally or otherwise) monthly and will enjoy it that way.
