I think the people generating the most collecting interest for this title (a large chunk posting here) probably have their copies or will soon. There's going to be a bunch of CGC stuff popping up from Rich's signing and probably Thought Bubble too, so I don't know that the wide appeal is sufficient given the supply right now (which makes perfect sense, it's only 1 issue long!)

The whole thing is ridiculous, but good luck to them. It's amusing that they would choose to use almost exactly that same cover (which in my opinion is a terribly unimaginative cover) as the original Lucille variant to run this promotion - just plain lazy. Anecdotally, given the mess that was made with the original Lucille Retailer Variant, there are ~70 SS copies according to the census (last I checked) out of the supposed 500. Given the fairly aggressive cut-off for SS certification by CGC, I'd be surprised if there are more than 250/500 that get yellow labels over time (of course there could be 300 copies waiting for Modern grading that won't see the light of day till middle of next year )

I'm fairly certain it would come back with a Restored label and the (now) unverified signature treated as a grade-dropping defect. Say hello to an 8.5 plod Since the signature was verified before the cut-off, any resubmission wouldn't affect that would it? I mean you can take that yellow (in his case, purple) and get additional signatures, re-submit etc. - shouldn't be any different that cracking slabs (under proper supervision).

I think we all realize this is a polarizing book, it's certainly not going to be for everyone. Hoping it's going to have massive wide appeal is probably optimistic, personally I'm enjoying the heck out of it (both the story and art) so far.
