  1. Nico - I try to be cordial with you as much as I can Because you get a lot of flack on these boards, and while some of it may be merited, I always side with the bully-ee, not bulliers. However you make it really difficult when you constantly bring up lawsuit talk. We all know you're a lawyer, so you don't have to bring up potential lawsuit and fraud talk every single time you are unhappy about something. You do that a lot. You also make it very clear that collecting comic books for you, the money come first, and the enjoyment of collecting comes second (this is just how it comes off, this very well is untrue, but again, its how you make it look and I'd bet everyone else agrees) this sours my experience being here seeing you start ranting and raving about suing and fraud whenever you think you're losing money on something just takes my smile away. Guess what, they upped the print count, and there's nothing you can do about it other than get mad. Its not illegal. You can't sue them. Just vent for a moment like others do without bringing out the big guns litigation stuff, its tired. I'm still keeping you off my ignore list though cause I do enjoy me some Nico wisdom
  2. Yea I was kind of debating the validity of only being 500. There were TONS being sold here on the boards and eBay, I figure at least half were for sale between these two and made it hard to think of it as being that limited.
  3. greggy I think your most recent books back from CGC were the most viewed books of all time
  4. What's with all this "he" and "like this one"? I'm right here guys! In all seriousness, my original post was fueled with rage cause the thread was causing my phone to go into complete panic filled seizure mode and caused me to have to reboot it completely (insert Android sucks - iPhone wins joke here), and I flipped out...thus resulting in a very foam inducing, rabies-like 3 minutes waiting to get back on here to vent my anger of what just happen.
  5. To those who have no clue why I went off on a hissy fit, its very simple. Some of you wise old-timers, while still feeling "hip to the jig" cause you're message-board fluent, might be surprised or even unaware of what I'm about to say. We live in an age where many people use mobile devices to browse the internet. Desktop and laptop computers are becoming a thing of the past outside of businesses. This brings up certain challenges though, such as content delivery and maximization of said content in a timely manner, and heightened awareness to the quantity of data being viewed in relation to direct cost associated with using a mobile device and the data plan in use. Having a post that is gobsmacked with 10+ higher-resolution pictures can be a bit more cumbersome to render and download on a phone or tablet, now add the buffoonery of you guys quoting and nesting those quotes cause you like to act like children think its witty and clever makes it extremely difficult to enjoy this thread and be able to browse the posts effectively and frustration free. I wouldn't expect you guys to think about that though cause that would be ludicrous of course. Carry on though, and keep those witty pictures coming! Edit: forgot to add the pictures to fit in.
  6. Found this on the inter webs, thought it was fantastical.
  7. Just like Ryan stated, it's all about preference really. Having a gold label definitely helps in terms of "defacing" the book, whereas a gold label is much more desirable than a raw book with a signature. Me though, I fall into the category of not liking signature books. While searching for books to buy, I skip right over every Gold label because even though I know it's a valid and authentic signature, I just don't like signatures on my books...period. It's not cause I think they're defaced, I just don't liike them, I can't even explain it to you unfortunately, I just don't. However I know I'm in the minority here though, so don't let weirdos such as myself sway your opinion
  8. This is the stupidest thread I've seen all week. Good job ruining it asshats. Go ahead and give each other high-fives and keep the circle-jerk going.
  9. I disagree with this. Maybe were just exposed to different crowds, but trust me, the VAST majority of "die-hard" Daryl fans aren't gonna go out and buy the comics if he's introduced in them. Do I know this for a fact? No. But I'm very sure of this notion. Like I said before, he's a heart-throb. Spend a day on reddit's WD sub where there's over 70k active members, and every single Daryl post (and trust me, there's no shortage), are of teen girls Googling over him and saying "they'd stop watching the show if he got killed off". Outside of Reddit, you know who talks about Daryl the most at my job? The middle-aged mothers. His character is great, and probably in my top 3 on the show, but he's just that, great for the show, not the comic. Trust me, bringing him into the comic will not boost the comic book industry.
  10. Honestly due to the over obsession that character takes hold of on every TV only fan, I more and more do not want to see them in the comic. Leave them for the TV side of the house. Honestly Daryl is the "heartthrob" of the show, I don't think he'd add any value to the comic.
  11. I just want to know why shipping is $25 She comes with it. Not sure how much it costs to ship 105lbs. these days, but sounds like a steal!
  12. http://www.ebay.com/ there ya go, knock yourself out All I see are sunglasses
  13. The last 5 issues or so (including all the 2nd prints) the cover has been completely forgettable. #106 is the first one in a long time that I'm really looking forward to just staring at and enjoying.
  14. Probably because there's an entire thread dedicated to the show everyone is talking about it in http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4219131&nt=130&fpart=130
  15. Not sure if you read the page i linked to and are just going by what iceman told you, but You also have to be submitting like 50+ books.
  16. Probably the funniest thing to come out of Reddit tonight.
  17. Good to hear Re: pre-screening, theres a minimum number of submissions required, this page explains it all http://www.cgccomics.com/services/prescreen.asp
  18. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Jesus is going to become a major character that lasts quite a while...
  19. [font:Book Antiqua]Don’t worry, if you keep investing your money this way you will don’t have anything else to eat...[/font] OR i could sell my 12 Chew #1's, 25 Thief of thieves #1, 22 Saga #1, 3 Walking dead #1, 6 Y the Last Man #1 If you're tired of eating cup of noodles maybe you should...... some of those moderns who have already made there gains would be worth thinning holdings on imo. I wasn't trying to be mean in my post, just saying that if he's sick of eating noodles, dump one of those ToT's #1 for ~$40 and have better food for 2 weeks

  21. My modern fast track I recently received is as follows. It was 16 business days total from invoice to my front door (22 calendar days total), 13 business days total from invoiced/received till shipped. Was invoiced on 9/14 as received. Next day or so was verified and sat there until 9/26 when it was marked graded. It then shipped 10/2 and I received it 10/5.
  22. Pinky: Even if you don't like lox, its still a rare book, I'll see if I can't find you the less saltier nova edition Andy: That was on our Independence day a few years ago, I don't think I was hungover. I was however hungover in this shot. And yes, I was eating bagels and lox and LOVING it.
