  1. Larry, www.imgur.com is the best and easiest image hosting site, don't even need to sign up or login if you don't want to (thumbs u
  2. I'm pretty sure cause at first, hearing 1:200 was pretty appetizing, but after they announced there were gonna be 300,000 copies of #100 printed, that pretty much let everyone know instead of there being ~200-250 of these, there's 1500 of these being printed. Yea, that's not $250 worthy.
  3. It looks like its a reholder? Though it says "change issue date to 02/04, as if they're noting a correction, but never actually corrected it. Its almost as if the label was printed and slabbed while it was still going through the QA check, like its not finished yet.
  4. And fast track it if you want it anytime soon. If you don't fast track it, expect to get it in February or March. No joke.
  5. Just an update: They're currently grading submissions from June 14th.
  6. My 4 submissions (one of each cover of #1) just got graded today! 9.8s on each. Was hoping for a 9.9 on the A cover seeing others have pulled that but it's all good, very happy with my grades
  7. All this back and forth ipso facto is really taking a toll on blah blah blah I just wanted to use a big word such as ipso facto cause I know smart people like to use it. [font:Lucida Console]Space between paragraph[/font] *cute emoticon* Rick dies soon? Is anyone still reading this?
  8. I've been saying for YEARS (yes, years, just go with it), that Jesus was going to be huge. Kirkman then confirmed in an interview (or perhaps a letters hack) that Jesus will in fact become a major character and pivotal to the story. Don't discount the fact that perhaps in a couple years #92 tarts seeing #27 prices (maybe not quite #19 though, but who knows). Yes, I knew about Jesus years ago. He's my pal. Also I just sold a 9.8 candidate for $30. I might be kicking myself for that in a few years. I'll prob buy a few more copies. One just sold on eBay for $12 that seemed very nice!
  9. (thumbs u Comics are not all about speculation. You can read them you know. Sure - and I do. Thing is Buddy, you have read 25% of the story already and are still not decided wether to press on. If it was a novel,it would be back in the library by now. Thats the only problem with mini's is that they have to delivery a punchy story from page one. Especially as this is only 4 eps,the reader has to be drawn in asap. Just my . Each to their own. I agree with this, plus, and I might sound crazy, but if the story is amazing and I fall in love with it, I'd be upset that I only get to read 3 more pieces and its over. I simply don't like short stories because I want more of it.
  10. I'll take multiple pics of the same issue if people will stop quoting and requoting posts of multiple books, just to add "Nice" at the end. This x1,000,000 I can't figure out if people just don't know how to quote and remove the images or if they're just completely oblivious to how annoying it can be. I may be a "n00b" on this forum but have quite the history and experience with message boards in general, and every one I've ever moderated, administered, or just been a member of have frowned upon this type of activity. Its a waste of space, loading time, and garners unneeded endless scrolling.
  11. I think one of the boardies who has multiple #1s should hold a contest to win one. With me being the contest organizer having a head start in the contest as well. So when do we start?
  12. Remember, there's a break in the middle if the season, so there will be a "mid-season finale" and the regular season finale. So definitely expect two major things to happen. My guess is pretty much what you said Ryan but for the mid-season finale, then for the season finale to be when michonne "meets" the Gov. Season 4 they'll finish the prison sequence with the season finale basically being #48 Just my theory.
  13. So who got in on the #103 LIMITED variant with RED signature, limited to only 50 copies? Hint: It's sold out now...
  14. This morning they stated they are grading books from 06/11....
  15. For a moment, I was wondering why someone quadrupled the same image I agree though, really no point in showing the same comic with the same grade multiple times (unless it's a sketch cover with different sketches )
  16. But what you're missing is the number of people that are watching the show and now wanting to buy the comics (such as myself). Its not a huge number, but more than a lot of people confined to these boards realize. I'll use Reddit as one example, whether you know of the site or not, there is a WD "sub-reddit" wherein at least once a week someone posts "guys the show isn't enough, how/where can I buy the comics". Now again, not everyone is going to go balls to the wall and buy every back issue, but there are some. So its not just collectors and speculators buying the #19s, its also a new wave of people that are just now starting to buy the comics because of the show. I can vouch for myself and two other friends/boardies this happen to, as well as one guy from work. That's just me. Think about the millions of other people out there where this could/is happening. WD #100 set comic book records. People who weren't collecting comics 3 months ago are now. If you asked 4 people 6 months ago what issue does Michonne first appear in, we couldn't answer that, now we can. I don't think any of the books you listed has done that in the way WD has. There's more of us 4 than you think.
  17. I don't know if collectors in general want to see the books drop in price. I think a lot of collectors suspect, believe it likely or even know in their hearts that the books are eventually going to drop in price. And so some, who care, speculate on when that day might be. I, personally, would not buy the books - particularly early and variant issues - at today's prices and think in terms of holding it for the long term (think a decade). Now is the time to buy and sell. The early Valiant's all had great stories, excellent art and low print runs. It was smart to buy and sell while they were hot - and buy to keep once they cooled down. Except none of the early Valiants had a wildly successful show brand with no end in sight and millions of fans around the world. Just sayin' Smurfs Jeremiah Tank Girl Sin City Scott Pilgrim Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Road To Perdition From Hell Aside from Smurfs, most of those do NOT have as much brand awareness than The Walking Dead. When I walk into a Target or a ToysRUs, I don't see huge displays or end caps with numerous merchandise of those. If you asked 10 random people if they've heard of those and/or are actively watching them, you'll probably get a "no". I don't see entire comic conventions devote an entire experience around those, or Universal's Halloween Horror Nights (arguably the most famous Halloween experience in the US) use them as the main theme for the year. None of those are reaching the homes of people in the same magnitude that TWD is. Its just not happening. Now all of this isn't to say that yes, this will eventually pop in due time, but to compare Valiant's state in the mid 90s to the state that TWD is in right now is an incorrect comparison.
  18. Dude I wasn't able to make it but I was really wanting to get an #19. Were the prices reasonable? Were they slabbed? Would you think about selling one?
  19. I may be in the minority here, but I'm having a bit of trouble remembering the characters and distinguishing between the different characters. I find myself going back a few pages to see where they were introduced so I can re-catch up with myself. Not sure if this makes sense, but I don't know if it's because the characters look the same, or my memory and awesome high school years are catching up to me... Having said that, I love that just when I think I might know what's going to happen in the next page or so, I'm completely thrown for a loop. This book has that "suck you in and you're gonna like it" aura around it. I hope it stays for a while. I also hope the alien remains more of a mystery than anything else for at least another 20-50 issues, only giving us just tid-bits of what it can/is doing, but not revealing the entire story behind it, would be a great shroud of mystery that can keep this book going and interesting for a long time.
  20. I don't know if collectors in general want to see the books drop in price. 21. Specks and smudges will unaffect the grade most of the time. Some others can tell you more, but I cant think of a book that I have seen that was downgraded for something like that. Maybe Mike or Beach Bum can tell you more. I always like to use the Wolverine Origins 10 White Cover as an example. The book's coloration looks like due to poor printing, but it will still grade 9.8 or higher if its physical perfect. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the printing defects won't affect the grade, but at the same time, will prevent it from getting a 10, is that right? I'm under the assumption that getting a 10 also requires the book to have a perfect printing job.
  22. My main LCS only pulls Revival's for me and one other subscriber, so I know there won't be any extra on his shelf, so I'll prob go to Tate's.
