  1. Looking forward to second print variant HR/krighton cover Yes! I'll be looking through the shelves at my LCS for that coveted Gem 9.4
  2. WHAT!?? Dude I didn't even realize there was a letters section. Kong can you take a picture and upload it? Rosens at work and can't get to a store anytime soon nor can I.
  3. Ibby So what's up with the #1 BW sketch cover on eBay? Either I'm not searching properly or it looks like one hasn't been sold since the 4th, and there's only two active right now? Are they generally harder to come by now?
  4. When I called in on Monday about our books she said they're currently grading June, Dice, yours should be scheduled for grading real soon.
  5. I think your last board transaction should be you selling me a WD #1 HugeRosen 9.4 for $750 with timed payments :-)
  6. +1 Sometimes I just wanna be like "Hey guys is anyone else excited for the release of the new.....oh wait....new things don't exist in your world!" *nelson laugh*
  7. I'm very jealous! +1 I think mine is a 9.4. Gee, that's a shocker.
  8. Yea I'm sorry but that one bidder who has 0 history doing all the bidding smells like a shill to me....
  9. So some dude on Reddit found an #1 (first print) in a bin of comics at a Half Price Books in Washington for cover price.
  10. If your goal is to just read the story, and you don't have a lot of money to spend, go with the compendium. It has issues 1-48. The second one comes out next month.
  11. Just an FYI, CGC is currently grading books from June 7th for modern standard.
  12. My OCD is going haywire seeing those comics lined up out of order
  13. I dunno, I don't think we should have to put spoilers on things that happen five years ago. I said it recently but I'll say it again, if you are new to something and haven't yet caught up, I don't think you should be hanging around in a general discussion of said title. As far as that OA goes, what is that???
  14. I actually don't mind this either, cause if 30 get dumped all in the same week its silly. Then werefighting each other for sales, and since I wouldn't do that with my regular friends, I don't think I'd wanna do that with my CGC eFriends either. But like krighton just said, if I see a bunch of the same item I'm gonna sell, I wait anyway.
  15. Cocaine doesn't promote memory loss insufficiently_thoughtful_person. Weed on the other hand....however I don't smoke, therefore I'm chalking this up to bad genes or listening to metal.
  16. Ok, so is it just me, or does anyone else find themselves needing to re-read the previous issue before the latest one to remember what you read a month ago? If not I have a horrible memory I guess. I honestly couldn't tell you what happen in issue #2 other than a few select moments. And even in those few moments I can't 100% say with accuracy which character was involved.
  17. So now two people have got 9.9s on cover A. Thanks, now my hopes will be dashed not if I don't get a 9.8, but if I don't get a 9.9. Poop.
  18. I don't have that much to spend but would love talking trade + cash + timed payments with you
  19. NOW were getting to my expertise This was NOT a DDoS. GoDaddy can say that all they want, its bull doo doo. That's almost equivalent to Google going down due to a DDoS, would never happen. GoDaddy has too much hardware out there with numerous data centers all running off nodes with fail-over technology that would never go down due to a DDoS unless millions of people were taking part in it. GoDaddy has a LOT of explaining to do with this, and will go down in the company's history as a very black day for them. Hours of unavailability is simply unacceptable. They're mess failed somewhere, and it failed HARD. The sad thing is someone is most certainly out of a job tonight.
  20. I didn't know I was frowned upon. Oh well, such is life, I was made fun of all throughout my childhood, more of that here isn't but sweat off my back I'm worse than you, I hadn't read the comics at all until seeing all of Season 1 and 2. Although I do have "some street cred" as I was a HUGE comic book collector from the age of about 6-16. I had 3 long boxes filled with classics from the 70's and 80's that my uncle gave me. We're talking Hulk 181, Wolverine #1-5 both the mini series and full, key ASM and Xmen books. Alongside that, I was buying every single Image comic that was coming out (this was when Image first came onto the scene), so Spawn, Shadowhawk, Youngblood, Savage Dragon, Maxx....It goes on and on...Sadly though I dropped out of the scene after my mom's boyfriend at the time sold all my comics for drugs It still pains me to think about that. But anyway here I am, back in action, as an adult, and able t buy whatever my heart desires (almost)!
  21. That's not what I said, though. I'm sure that prices are going to keep increasing up until the premiere of season 3 - just like it's happened with the prior 2 seasons. But, again, it's going to be speculators selling to investors who are going to be driving up the prices - it's not going to be Joe Schmoe off the street who thinks that Michonne looks like an interesting character or Average Comic Book Bob who's been getting WD every month at his LCS. That's really the main problem with the WD bubble - the speculator buys a WD #1 in 9.8 for $2,000 because he thinks he can get $2,500 for it later down the road. And that's only going to happen if he finds another speculator who thinks that if he buys the book for $2,500 he can turn it around and flip it for $3,000. At some point you're going to reach the end of the line, though, because it's not possible to sustain market value when it's just investors and speculators trading these books. Understood, and I agree with you on that. The thing is though, albeit a very small number, but there are some people who see the show, and end up getting into the comics full-on hardcore wanting every issue, getting graded maybe, and so on. I'm your prime example for that. I hadn't touched a comic book since 1995 before February of this year. I now have almost every issue, am completely full swing back into comics (not just WD either), taking part in the CGC community everyday, etc. There are some of us out there. And another one of "me" can come 3 episodes into season 3. He and the other "new collectors" will go ahead and buy that #19 raw for $450+ cause that's "now the new standard" (I just threw that number out there but you get my point). So it may not just be speculators/investors bidding on the bay come Season 3. It can be a whole new breed of "me" (that's a scary thought) And funny enough, the last month or so raw #19 have hovered around $215 give or take, and as of the last day each one is back up to $300+ Looks like it's already starting.
  22. Don't get me wrong, I too feel the prices will go down at some point as this won't "not be going anywhere but up" like you state. However come October, they will definitely not be down. They'll be up. Now granted, I take it after the season has been on a month or two, prices will probably start dropping again. But to think that prices will just remain the same once the explosion of the season 3 hits the airwaves is being a bit cynical and/or naive in my usually-horribly-incorrect opinion
  23. Same with #19. I know there's a lot of people here saying prices will drop soon, but I'll mark this post and say once 10/13 rolls around, #19 and others will SKYROCKET. You guys have to understand theres an entire population of fans who aren't into the comics (yet), and still only know Michonne from the 3 second clip from the season 2 finale. Once she's part of the cast next season, people will be scrambling to get more.
  24. all sorts of 9.6s? or just raws? Forgot why, but why are you so interested in 9.6s again? Oh and also I owe you a PM still
