  1. The RoastedBagel's Lox & Cream Cheese Variant
  2. Image Comics Booth(s): 1229 BEDLAM #1 NYCC Exclusive variant Category: Comic story NICK SPENCER art/cover RILEY ROSSMO Fillmore Press was once Madder Red, a homicidal maniac and criminal overlord who terrorized the town of Bedlam for years. Then he got better. This is what happens next. A double-sized introduction to a blood-soaked cityscape of murder, mayhem, and mystery by NICK SPENCER (MORNING GLORIES, THIEF OF THIEVES) and RILEY ROSSMO (REBEL BLOOD, GREEN WAKE)! available at the Image Comics booth #1229 (limited to 500) $5.00 I was near the front of the line at opening today and the Bedlam books were all gone already. They told me that a few of the dealers went and bought up most of them. That's messed up. I never understood why someone whose selling something in a very limited quantity (e.g. < 500 copies) allows someone to buy a bulk of the lot? Limit that to like 5 per person.
  3. Can someone going to NYCC grab me a couple of the variants? I'll throw you extra cash plus shipping. I'm not looking to flip them, they'll be for my personal collection
  4. Oh, so.........i dont intend on creating artificial buzz/drive up prices, but anyone snatching up #13 since that's the first appearance of the prison and its inhabitants? I noticed on the bay a few people are keen on that and raising prices, also looks like they're selling for a bit more too now.
  5. I'm finally back to netting my entire paycheck minus regular bills, so I think after about 2 more paychecks I'll be annoying the mess outta you. I hope you don't leave the boards
  6. 1 down 19 to go. Ok I seriously need to man up and make a deal with you....
  7. Sorry for asking as I know it was already posted here, but I went back a bunch of pages and can't find it. When does the 4th printing of #1 come out? Does it come out the same day as #4? The one I'm asking about is the one with the cover of the #1B in Sepia color.
  8. So I haven't been on the bay in a couple weeks actually, are prices starting to rise now that it's coming up to the season premier?
  9. Heck yea, I'm so dang excited about that, CHEESE AND RICE I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY!!!!!
  10. You tease! I'm dying to look but I don't want to spoil anything For what it's worth, it doesn't necessarily spoil the plot at all, nor is it a death. That's all I'll say
  11. So LA Times posted a picture of the walking dead makeup chair, and on the desk was a manifest of the cast. They inadvertantly posted a spoiler regarding cast, if you're interested and can't wait till Sunday, check it out here http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/lat-cindy-walk_maobu9pd20120921163724,0,3123751.photo Some of you may already know about this, but some may not. Don't click if you don't want to be spoiled.
  12. Just curious, but how popular was Walking Dead before TV rumors started? And how much was an #1 going for?
  13. Solution? FedEx. (thumbs u Dude I wasn't given an option of return shipping using the online form
  14. My Modern Fast-track was marked Shipped this past Monday (10/01), and it's been sitting in the USPS status of "Packaged proccessed at USPS sort facility" in Sarasota since Tuesday morning. Registered mail as well....I figure I would have it by now (I live in South Florida, it took one day for my package to arrive to them).
  15. Off topic for a moment, but I wanna ask the people I interact with and enjoy the most on this message board, rather than being in the general comics section where I don't know anyone and feel like an outsider. So in the CGC turnaround time thread in the comic restoration sub-forum, someone mentioned that you don't have to be a paid member to submit comics directly to CGC. I thought this was CGC's entire draw, was that you either had to be a paid member, submit through an authorized retailer, or submit at a convention where they are at. Two different people are saying that's not true and that they've submitted comics directly multiple times without being a paid member. WTH? I feel like my entire life has been a lie.....Can someone here confirm this? Here's the thread in question: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6054952&Main=269029#Post6054952
  16. Speaking of Image Expo, any news/leaks on that yet? That's pretty much the holy grail for the best variants IMO.
  17. That's normal, since the pages are folded over, the outer-most will always be a bit shorter than the middle pages, and no, that doesn't reduce from grade since that's just how physics are Some might say the book was trimmed, but I highly doubt it since that's generally only done to older books where the edges have worn/chipped. That would get you a "restored" label which is highly undesirable by most. But I don't think that's the case here.
  18. If you don't plan on getting anything else graded, your best bet is to find an authorized dealer in your area to submit for you. Its the least hassle for you, but they might charge a fee for doing it. If you want to self submit, you can join for $40 for the year, then spent either $18 for regular service which takes about 4 months total turnaround, or $28 for fast-track which has a 10-12 day total turnaround time.
  19. It's official. Walking Dead Escape comes to Philly. Hope this doesn't mean another variant cover http://www.thewalkingdeadescape.com
  20. Looks like there's gonna be another Walking Dead Escape!!! https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=537094339650760&id=447416688618526&set=a.462977657062429.127384.447416688618526&ref=m_notif&notif_t=wall&__user=41501963
