Marvel Masterworks -- Website with current info?
batman_fan replied to mlovest's topic in Comics General
All three of those titles are expensive to finish off! I still need several of the later ones for the Amazing Spider-Man. I consider myself a bottom feeder so trying to buy stuff less than $30 all in but I am getting to a place where I am going to have to up how much I pay. Good luck finishing those titles ! -

I spent some time trying to find out what was planned for future release and had zero luck. I ended up just being content with the Wikipedia list which I used to see what I wanted to pick up. So far I have over 50 issues. I am buying to read post retirement. -
When I bought my Sal splash back in the early 2000s I thought the price was a bit crazy but not anymore, especially given it has Tom Palmer inks

I would have bid more aggressively but need to save my money to chase something coming up. I love the Sprang reproductions, the colors are amazing but I have one already which I love.

I remember when a splash was less than $100. We live in crazy times.

A few interesting results John Buscema Thor splash, over $10k, lots of love. Sal Buscema Hulk panels, $3k+. Remember when these were ~1k or so. I thought they would get a Sal bump but guess word hasn't reached everyone.

Went to the Halloween store with my son today. We thought it would be good to go early this year and I snagged this

Hopefully it has found its forever home

I actually liked it a lot. Linus’s expression is great. At less than $15k for a 1962, well bought. I hope prices stay like this through the rest of the year.

Peanuts stuff definitely soft. This would have been $20k floor, $25k expected 1 to 2 years ago and the only reason it closed this high is I was the underbidder and ran it up. I thought I was going to win it for ~12k for a little while.

The two Avengers 6 pages seemed almost “affordable”

Silver Surfer #7 page? It is nice but not cheap

Today will be telling when I see where the Peanuts pieces end up. My hope is prices are depressed, not so much for this auction but an upcoming one.

I am shocked

I agree with Tim, Tim is right.

Some of the stuff I was tracking. DD splash (which was awesome), a little lighter than I expected. Peanuts Peppermint Patty daily - on the weak side, I suspect Tim was happy to snag it given he is the #1 PP fan Romita Spiderman cover - Very strong price Nova page - on the high side but not a crazy price
