  1. Agreed - awesome! Especially for something found on Craig's List!
  2. "Leave the gun, take the HeroClix."
  3. Oops! You guys are correct - I meant "pre-hero", not pre-code. My bad.
  4. Awesome offer. Love the pre-code horror/monster.
  5. I was beating on him cause I wasn't sure if those books were legitimate compared to the other offers. I thought someone would take them, and wanted to be sure that the person knew what they were getting. No, they're legit - and that's why it was "choose one" instead of "take all 3". No offense to anyone, but why so much suspicion and negative assumptions? It's like you guys think I owe you money or something.
  6. I apologize for the pic issues, guys. I got started as soon as I got home. I've used that site to post pics on this site before and never had an issue. I was in the middle of signing up for PhotoBucket when I saw the post w/ the choice.
  7. I've never even seen that comic before - but it has a foil cover - it has to be awesome!
  8. what condition are they in? I'd say VG/F-, to be safe.
  9. Shoot, I'm trying to get a bigger image. It's TOA #12, TOS #34, and JIM #73. I'll try another site to get a larger image. I've never had a problem w/ this site before.
  10. Yeah, first I had trouble w/ my images uploading to ImageShack upside down, and then they wouldn't show up here. Hopefully they're all working now.
  11. Ok, here's my offer. FREE shipping in the US, and I'll cover the first $10 of international shipping. I tried to come up with something for everyone. Option 1: Choose one of the following: Option 2: The first year (issue #'s 1-12 of Cap, FF, The Avengers, and Iron Man from 1996. Option 3: A bunch of Wizard special edition comics (the ones you had to send away for have the COA's w/ them). Option 4: A binder full of Wizard and Marvel trading cards from the 90's. Option 5: Kingdom Come #'s 1-4. Option 6: A friend of mine gave me his collection when he moved a few months ago. He was big into indy comics in the 90's (Image, Dark Horse, etc.), and took really good care of his stuff. If anyone is looking for runs or fill-in issues, PM me what you need. If one of the other options is chosen, I can do this as a RAK. There are 4 long boxes, so I haven't catalogued everything yet.
  12. Woop woop! I hope you guys had fun at the Water Park. Fuquay Varina? I live about 1 1/2 hrs. away and went to school at NC State (thumbs u Yep! Been livin' in the 'Quay for about 7 years now. I went to NCSU (for my undergrad), too!
  13. Guys, just because I don't post here all the time (any more) doesn't mean that I don't come and read the threads a few times a week. And no, my intent wasn't to stall the thread. I'll post my offer this afternoon after I go pick up the kids from school. I'm serious about my claim - I sent my mailing info to the offering party right after I claimed it. Not to worry.
  14. Woop woop! I hope you guys had fun at the Water Park.
  15. Recently finished "My Appetite for Destruction" by Steven Adler (former drummer for Guns N' Roses) and "It's So Easy (and Other Lies)" by Duff McKagan (former bassist for Guns N' Roses). It's amazing the amount of abuse and neglect that the human body can take. Now I'm reading "Tattoos and Tequila" by Vince Neil (lead singer for Motley Crue). Barely into it.
  16. For the record, I normally never tape the comic bags to the board. However, that night whether due to fatigue, a precocious two year old, or just lack of attention, I did. I should of corrected it, but I didn't notice until they were actually completely taped up and ready to go. My apologies and thanks for not holding it against. It's a pet peeve of mine when I get books that way, and as I said, I normally never do it to books I ship. Sorry you had to be the victim of my carelessness. Not a problem. The comics weren't damaged, and I can put them in other bags. I was just concerned about cutting the bags (or worse, the comics) when I cut the tape off the bags. No harm, no foul.
  17. Bought two Hulk comics from Mitch, and they got here fast. Very happy with my purchase and how quickly they got here. My one piece of constructive criticism is to not tape (as in, packing tape) the comic books to one of the pieces of the "cardboard sandwich". Scotch tape is much easier to remove, and it doesn't run the risk of messing up the bag (and possibly the comic). I couldn't remove the packing tape from the comic bag - I had to cut it. It's no biggie, I can just take the comics out of the bags and put them in new bags. Anyway, just my 2 cents. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from you again.
  18. Recently finished an e-book version of "A Princess of Mars" (first John Carter of Mars novel) by ERB. Currently in the middle of "The Gods of Mars" (the second JCM novel). First ERB books that I've ever read, and I've really enjoyed them. Looking forward to reading more.
  19. Wow, sorry that you got rid of them. Seller's remorse, eh? But sometimes you do what you have to do (assuming a serious financial need, and not to fund another purchase).
  20. , that is awesOME! Isn't it cute? I thought it would be a hoot to have up on the wall. Only $2 shipping, too.
