  1. Won this on ebay last night. It was too cute to pass up. I got it to put up on my son's wall. http://www.ebay.com/itm/280735285417?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  2. LOVE the GL splash. I don't have one grail, but I'd LOVE to eventually get a Kirby FF, Hulk, or Avengers page.
  3. Thanks! Been wanting them for a while. Haven't been constantly looking for them, but when I was thinking what I could buy myself for Christmas, the bookends were the first thing I thought of. Found a guy on ebay who was selling them. I won the auction, and they are mine forevermore!
  4. Not a comic, but this was my Christmas present to myself. Been wanting to get this set of bookends for quite a while.
  5. I'd asked for a version of Layton's famous Iron Man cover "The Battle Below!" with Iron Man and the Hulk, with the Thing in place of Iron Man - but with all the delays, I guess he forgot what I wanted. Anyway, I got a Bob Layton sketch and Thing/Hulk is my favorite hero/hero match-up, so I'm happy.
  6. Picked this up a while back, finally getting around to taking the picture and posting it. It's a Thing/Hulk sketch from Bob Layton. Had to wait for it for over a year, but it's worth it now. Got it double-matted using The Thing's colors (blue for his trunks and orange for his skin).
  7. Kudos to Jeffreykli for the Joker marionette. It's a Christmas gift for my wife, and I'm sure she'll love it. Great price, fast shipping, and great packaging! Thanks, Jeff!
  8. Nice Hulk page (but then again, I'm partial). I'm picking up my Bob Layton Thing/Hulk sketch from the frame shop today after work, so I'll have a pic up sometime this week.
  9. This one's in the mail, and it has a long story to go with it. I e-mailed Bob Layton over a year ago (August of last year, to be exact), asking if he could do a sketch for me. I wanted a variation of Iron Man #132 (one of my favorite covers of all time - "The Battle Below!"). I wanted a sketch of The Thing in place of Iron Man. I wasn't getting background, so it wouldn't be an underwater scene, just The Thing trying to keep under wraps (literally!) with a large chain. Many, many things have delayed the sketch on Bob's end, and I tried to as patient as I could. After a year, he told me he didn't know when he was going to be able to get to it, and offered me a refund. I told him that I wanted the sketch, but after a year, it was getting ridiculous, and to just send me the refund so I could bring this to a close. Well, on Monday, I got an e-mail from Bob saying that he'd done the sketch, and that he was mailing it AND my refund this week. So I'm getting a free sketch from Bob Layton, and all I had to do was wait a year and be patient! Here's the jpeg that he sent me. It's not what I asked for, but I'm just happy to be getting a free "Thing vs. Hulk" sketch from Bob Layton.
