The question I have is, at $13,750, is there anymore room for growth, or have we already seen 101% of the growth take place?

I remember selling my FF #52 7.5 ten years ago for the awesome sum of $118, now they are selling for 13X to 16X that. What other investment has seen that kind of growth in that time span, (and what kind of insufficiently_thoughtful_person was I for not buying every copy I could find instead of selling the only copy I had)?

    :pullhair:

Unless I'm mistaken the previous 9.6 of this book (same copy?) went for $18,000 on CLink a couple years ago when the JLA movie hype hit its peak with the talk that Flash and Supes will race in the film.

Anyone have a feel for why all the cancellations? A few here and there are expected, but seems to be a lot this year and about 4 less on each aisle up and down, someone said it went from 30 to 26 per aisle. I like the idea of raising the age for getting in free to some extent, but feel like it was done to try and bring in locals. Has attendance been dropping? I haven't noticed if it has! Leave me something to buy, I can't get there until Saturday!

I think last year they hit 50k for the first time. Even with cancellations I think they will have a new record this year with every child getting in free.

This year looks to be a tough one for vendors and fans alike. With MegaCon Orlando moving up their show so as not to have vendors working on Memorial Day weekend and other shows (Motor City and East Coast) also this weekend, there was no way that this show was going to book higher end guests.

Tidewater is also going on at Virginia Beach this weekend, the states biggest con. That's a boatload of shows at once.

  4. Well I finally broke down and saw it yesterday mainly because I want to see Endgame soon before someone spoils it for me. I'll agree with the general consensus....eh, definitely near the bottom of the Marvel movies.  Nick's eye injury? Skrulls origin? Brie Lawson having an "attitude" and smirk in every single scene? The missed opportunities to involve Ronin more?

Too many negatives to make it good
