Hey Dan...I know it's early, but do you know if Marc is going to go back to the "old" room next year or will he keep it in this one?   Is it up to him or the Convention Center (availability)?

I know when I saw you, we talked briefly about the room/space.  I like this room better than the one it's been in the past 5-10 years.

    I second that

  2. Just got back from seeing it. I liked the first one more but this was still fun. Since a 65 convertible Mustang is my dream car (so close!) and my daughters favorite bad guy is Candy Girl from Purge 3 (we re-created her costume for Halloween a couple of years ago) this movie gave me the good feels at times. The mid credits gave me goosebumps.

  3. spoiler warning

I just finished it last night and like so many others was let down on the final episode. Ep. 1-5 kept building up for something big but it turned out to be somewhat of a whimper. I get that when Sylvie stabs him it creates the multiverse which will be used in the next Dr Strange and Spidey movies, not to mention possibly the new “evil” presiding over phase IV and beyond, but the remaining unanswered questions heavily outweighed the answers.
But ep. 5 was incredible. The thanos chopper and Throg trying to get to the hammer gave me goosebumps. Loved it!

  4. It’s probably for the best since it provides financial stability to those shows who have been on shaky ground for years. Consolidation continues  to occur in this field. Salt Lake comic con (Fan X) just acquired Tampa con a few weeks ago. I assume they absorbed Tampa’s other two cons, Indiana and Atlanta, but my info was sketchy and came from multiple dealers at Tampa last weekend.

yes people want to feel like they are getting a deal.  Youre selling feelings.  Sell the sizzle, not the steak.

Grade A organic grass fed steak has the best sizzle. It’s best if you sell both. Don’t sell inferior cuts of beef. (poorly described comics).

  6. Metropolis should never have put it up for auction in the first place. And if CGC was made aware of this before the closing (like a thread and pic on their own damn forum) they should have asked Vincent to pull it.

edit: I see it was pulled. Kudos to the person who made the call
