  1. Seller says 9.0 Buyer thinks 7.0 Buyer pays a 9.0 price Things go south. Who could foresee such an outcome.... If you knew it was a 7.0, why pay a 9.0 price? Buyer beware and all that. Walk away and learn from this.
  2. Just about to break $25,000,000 in sales. What an auction!
  3. I was out at $7000 I also went in (I thought) aggressively at $8500 for the WFC #3 CGC 4.5 - nope, blown away. Definate upgrade shot, but $13,200 - wow.
  4. I thought the show was finished! Anyway - I'm buying TWD books in the WTB section - nada response so far. So can't be that cold yet i guess.
  5. No joy so far: Anyone attending a signing, please let me know so i can send you the books. Thanks
  6. Is Aqualad a well-known enough character to devote a series to? I suspect a Y-the Last Man, DMZ type disaster in the making. How many more bombs need to be made in the pursuit of being awake
  7. $19,200 for the Tec #38 with missing centrefold and wrong back cover wasn't too shabby either.
  8. After the old - the new. Large lot of brand new (98% at least still wrapped) hardback Graphic Novels 33 x 2000AD Judge Dredd Mega Collection 51 x DC Graphic Novel Collection - INCLUDING the 6 ultra large special editions 90 x Marvels Greatest Heroes Boxes got banged to buggery but books (except one) were all good.
  9. Not without a great deal of effort. The outer case is welded shut and is 4mm thick
  10. Yes mate The Halo grading is iffy as all heck - one man band in a garage (literally) - but at $35 I pulled the trigger on this one on ebay. The slab is heavy - but pretty much unbreakable (unless you do it deliberately) - I was impressed. The rest of Halo - not so much
  11. I also bought Alias #1 on the back of the TV show season #1 which was superb. And this one: Just seeking the elusive Ritter signing event now! PS New Halo slab is seriously impressive
  12. Grade: D- Continuing its ransacking of the Spider-Man portion of the Marvel comics catalogue to fashion a MCU-style conveyer belt of superhero features, Sony follows up its dreadful “Venom” series with an origin story for another villain turned antihero, the “Living Vampire” Morbius, an obscure character introduced in print in the seventies that has appeared sporadically since. He’s a fellow tortured by a self-inflicted curse, but his anguish is nothing compared to the pain this terrible movie inflicts on the audience.
  13. Honestly, I'd be thinking outside the box. The list of books here are mostly fairly obvious, so I'd say the smart money is being quietly placed, and those people aren't throwing that info around like confetti.
  14. True that Anyone reading this thread from a few years back would see I paid $700 for a whole heap of boxes from a guy. I made a really decent profit on them. Quite a few graded out at 9.8 (there are some pics of them here somewhere) You just gotta put the miles in.

Vaguely comic related. Two of Britain's 'hard ' actors in Tom Hardy and Stephen Graham star in this bizarre but gripping Netflix show - was made in 2017 apparently, but only just dropped over here last week. It's very good.
  16. You can add the two centre wraps of a Tec #38 to this list as well!
  17. One things for sure: This thread has 20 pages and a lock in it's future
  18. Yeah, this is why I can't see anything more than a 7.5 on a "the-graders-were-drunk-day" Still, all depends on the price really. Which people clearly know, so may as well post it up.
