  1. As @onlyweaknesskryptonite has pointed out - DHP 10, 24, 157 5th ann special are all $300+ books in 9.8 - still easy $50+ in good order. The only thing I'd suggest changing is your selling method - open an ebay store. 1500 listings for $60 per month - so for 48c a book can sit there for a whole year if it doesn't sell, and has exposure to millions of people. It takes a week or so to set up, managed payments, scanner, listing templates - but as you are using ebay already, then it should be easy. As an FYI - some of those X rated comics will get pulled from ebay - others will be ok - but you MUST cover up any nudity in your scans. @StrikeOutXXX Now you can do the rest your self!
  2. Nail on head. Those stood out straight away - great minds and all that @onlyweaknesskryptonite Sirens of the Lost World (#1 Signed)The Scarlet Zombie (#1 Signed) Dark Horse Presents (check issue number) Screen Monsters - Unauthorized Clive Barker Special - Zone Productions (no clue) These above should be worth listing - easy $20+ books to the right buyer. Congrats, you are absolutely doing this the right way, if you intend to make a go of it. You found them, you bought them - why let others take your profit? Honestly mate - 3 hours of looking up books is awful - until the next one is a $300 one, then it all seems a whole lot better. The only thing I would add - don't pull out anymore books until you have scanned, listed and put these away - use a code on your listing so you know which box you put it in! Then off you go again!
  3. Aaaand speaking of holds on funds....good old ebay. Uploading valid tracking for your orders benefits both you and your buyers by managing delivery expectations and protecting you against buyer claims. To improve the experience on eBay, attract more buyers to the platform and help grow your business, we’re encouraging sellers to upload tracking details for all trackable orders^.From 7 February 2022, if you don’t upload valid tracking for at least 95% of your trackable orders, your payments may be placed on hold.
  4. Send people a PM (private message) - click on their username and you should see 'send message'
  5. 9.4 seems to be the concensus - anyone else want to chime in?
  6. I know where you are going - but if the OP wants to get as much out of this as possible - then knowledge is just as important as $$$ Learning to spot a key in a pile of drek is essential if you want to do well 'in the wild'. I'd certainly use a 'comics guy' to suggest ways to maximise ease of sorting / selling but the OP should really do the research himself. If not, he may as well offer the lot up for 4 times his cost and be done with them in bulk. I guarantee (as would you) that there will be no shortage of takers!
  7. Thats very poor from the seller. I'd imagine the dealer would be royally pizzed.
  8. As per the title: The bottom outer edge runs through about 7 pages, diminishing as it goes - printing issue for sure, I don't think CGC knocks a printing error back nowadays? Thanks gang.
  9. Backs up what I'm seeing here in melbourne. Young savvy collectors. The next gen is already here, and buying good books.
  10. Get some help from a comics guy. Check every book - because the one you miss is likely the $1000 key. Look upon it as fun, not a job - and learn as you check the books. Use ebay - the prices they sell for is a basic 'what are they worth NOW' as opposed to a 1 yr old guidebook Have fun! PS: Don't discount those 'adult' comics - they usually sell like hotcakes. The Penthouse, Sizzler, Playboy comics are easy $10 - $30 sellers each, all day long.
  11. Don't panic. Had a Joeypost package take months - stuck in some airport hellhole. It arrived. Generally, apart from the very rare exception, everything turns up. They turn up late, but they turn up.
  12. Hey, I don't work for paypal bud, just letting you know what they are doing now. If you aren't happy, don't use them. I avoid paypal as much as possible - but sometimes there is no other way to do a deal - so you just have to suck it up. It's a good thing for buyers - sellers, I agree, not so much. FYI - Buyers have to confirm within a certain timeframe - if they don't, and the tracking shows 'delivered', paypal will release the funds without you calling. So there's that.
  13. It's no conspiracy. The buyer simply has to tick a box saying the item has arrived. Funds released. Paypal have been doing this for over a year. If the buyer doesn't then the seller calls paypal to confirm the tracking shows 'arrived' - funds released. They used to do it only for people using F+F to buy stuff. Maybe they are now covering the entire service. It's an extra buyer safeguard, but sellers are still covered with tracking - you just have to wait sometimes.
  14. So - can anyone actually say with any certainty what this movie is about? I genuinely have no clue - Hawaii assaults, non-binary pronouns, KKK threats, fake moustches, Keaton or Affleck, Monica or Gal, Cavill is Deadshot or Superman, or The Flash, drugs and restraining orders, and hitting women with chairs.Oh, and Aquaman too. Is this the Movie or real life? I have absolutely no idea what 'The Flash' is about in the mix of all the Hoo-Haa around it.
  15. Thanks for sharing guys - these are great. This is why I use these boards - the knowledge that people have, the way they freely share - and stuff like this, purely for the love of the hobby Congrats again guys - awesome comic history - thanks so much for sharing
  16. Still got 40 of these in a box. I thought after the movie option, and recall to change name to FBP, then a surefire winner... Nope.
  17. Freely admitting my ignorance here - it's obviously not a general release comic - what am I missing? Obviously quite a bit judging by the reactions!
