Stan Cross was an Australian comic book artist, probably best known for his series "Wally and The Major" - newspaper strips combined into annual comics. I saw this piece of his recently and thought I'd share. So poignant and heartwrenching - and equally as relevant today as back in WW1. It's beautiful.

Latest pick-up... TV and other annuals (Clangers! 1971 - old skool!) Couple of sweet Playboy Coffee table books 1960's Archies and Peps 1950's Aussie Comics (Bluey and Curley is cool) Some Simpsons stuff (not worth much but I only paid $100 for the whole kit and caboodle...) Oh and 25 2005 still sealed KISS calendars

A couple of personal faves. Low $ value, but high in 1) the enjoyment of the Black Lightning Netflix series. 2) Kirby's art

There are so many loose ends to tie up in 3 hrs. It's impossible tbh. Oh and Bron is an A grade wanker. I hope he gets a really dire end. Something really outside the box? The only thing I can think of is that somehow, The Iron Bank,Bravos and The Faceless Men are all under Arya's command. She IS the faceless man. She always was. There IS NO ARYA STARK - ever. She therefore controls the Golden Compass - hence her sneaking out for a solo trip to Kings Landing. Bit I doubt that's the case........so genuinely, I have no idea.

Sorry to burst your bubble... The 2nd one is a fake. It's at Ashton Gate - home of Bristol City FC (my club) and it's old footage from England scoring on the last World Cup. It's the new bar in City's new stand - the vid has had many images super-imposed on the giant TV. Looks cool - but fake.

Cons: Very hard to watch Pros - at some point I genuinely thought everyone was going to die. Could some one confirm (as I really couldn't make it out) Thanks

I have 2 theories. 1) Multiple times the idea has been thrown around that the seven kingdoms could only be run by a 'stable couple' Now that initially was going to be Jon (Stark/Baratheon) and Danerys (Targarian) - be we now know that as relations, this will never happen. Sansa will see to that! However, perhaps we did see the couple suggested A true daughter of the North and a true son of a king. Arya and Gendry. All that would be needed was Jon's blessing. The Lannisters imho are all goners come seasons end (hopefully except Tyrion) Arya + Gendry on the throne, Tyrion as hand, Jon as Warden of the North. Arya and Gendry's child (with Jons blessing) combining all families effectively and peace rules. 2) The Night Kings are a regular occurance. Once the 7 kingdoms reach a certain technical and population level the king awakes and smacks mankind back to the caves - and returns to sleep again. Cave drawings, stone carvings seen could be thousands of years old. The children of the Forest admitted creating the Night King - but never when. Seeing as the previous 3 eyed raven had been there for 'a thousand years' - could this not be a regular cycle - winter comes, destroys and retreats to sleep again. Gendry has been kept as a minor character for such a long time, but has been much more prominent of late (S7 and now) - Sir Davos saved him for a reason. To be King to Arya's Queen. Deaths next week - Breanne, Jamie, Sir Davos, Danerys, Sansa, Theon and Podrick.

If it drops to that - I'm buying. It will get made one day

Went on a bit of free-stylin' ala Frankie Fritz and Howlin' Mikey Wolfe stylee. Stopped at a little place about 150kms out of Melbourne. Mixed bunch in an old house just outside the township. Couple of old cars, but as I only sell stuff I can easily and cheaply post, I left them - there was a really nice old Scooter there, that I may go back for.... Anyhoo... About 60 Life Magazines 1954 - 1971 ish 70 Issues Boxing News 200 issues Fighter/Fist/The Ring boxing magazines - Cool Mohammed Ali, Frazier, Bugner etc fights - all from 1970's 250 Pulp Western Novello's - some are incredibly racy. Not what we expected from a little old lady in the bush Plus some more masks - again, French made. $100 all up - result (hopefully... )

And we are off - starting in 24 minutes........ Can't.Bloody.Wait.

I think being based in the Phillipines (ebay Australia) has a lot to do with it - they have such a low annual income (less than $8000 PA), that it probably seems obscene to them to improve ebay benefits when most buyers/sellers have an annual salary of $84,000 (Australian average). I understand that fully. However - that doesn't seem to justify the extra benefits that other ebay countries get. We don't get point's or 'bucks', our free listings are way less, our listing content is heavily restricted (think Playboy,Mayfair etc), even ebay stores are much more expensive for fewer listings compared to USA/Europe. It's still much better than any other online selling medium, but ebay does need to be equal worldwide.

Yeah, but Onions, Big S, will there be Onions?? You know I've been with this Graphic Novel from day #1 mate - seriously, was the last ep the best the writers could do? You know what I'd have like to seen in this season? The salvation of the Kingdom. It's been 4-5 yrs in the jump. Rick,Maggie,Michonne and Daryl are gone/walkabout Lets have Daryl turn up at the Kingdom on Ep #1 and see the state of it. Make the season about the resurrection of Ezekiels folly in allowing the Kingdom to decline. Here's a few hints: Clear 1km around the Kingdom of trees - How can the Whisperers hide IN THE TREES 20m from the entrance. So you need Power.Food.Weapons. Make the Season about 'runs' somewhere - get the Citizens of the Kingdom known to viewers on these runs (think Rick/Daryl meeting Jesus - classic ep) Run for Solar Panels - why no solar at Kingdom?? Run to Oceanside - set up fishing/smoking/storing of fish for supplies Run for livestock - need to get fences/feed and animals (in that new 1km radius) Tools - Electric powered - runs for lithium batteries,bases etc Bullets - the press is still at the Sanctuary - go get the bloody thing and make 50 bullets a week! What use are spears? Education - lets see kids being taught how to become Carpenters,electricians,farmers etc - not a whole show, but the odd insert. Clear the Hilltop - Kingdom Road. Build Stockaded Towers every 1km (with the trees cut down around it to form a perimeter and Tower and room for horses) add a solar panel or two and viola - protected road! If you can get to Hilltop from Kingdom in a day - must be 10km max right, so 10 Towers - 5 built by each camp I understand petrol has spoiled - but vehicles can run on electricity (Solar panels again ). The first Fords were powered by steam, heck the Ford Factory was powered by MANURE for a few years! After 10 yrs, it's inconcievable that Carol,Eugene and Tara et al wouldn't think of these things Introduce the Whisperers very slowly - a walker behaving oddly, out of character behaviour. Let the intrigue (for non-comic readers) grow - then BANG - introduce Alpha toward the end Throw in a Daryl/Carol/Ezekiel love triangle and there's your Season 9 right there. Sorry Big S - the sight of people tied together to battle the terrible storm IN AN ENCLOSED COMMUNITY to go to the house next door - in one inch of snow was pitiful. Why didn't people have hats and gloves on? Why did Negan give Judith a coat when they could have just gone inside the bloody building instead of sitting outside it.... Why leave the kingdom in a blizzard.... It was sloppy lazy writing - and..........why build a radio system if it's not manned? If I was Maggie, I'd stay wherever she was.... I look forward to the carrots.

If ever the maxim 'buy the book not the grade' ever needed visual affirmation - then here it is. A 3.5 that looks much much better with the main damage at the back. I bought one very similar on the same premis. A no-brainer surely a 3.5 that looks at least a 5.0 for this price..... Amazed its not sold I'm sure it will soon!

Next week Oceanside and Alexandria hold crisis talks to decide wether to put Carrots or Potatoes in the stew. Anarchy erupts when Carol suggests both. I can't wait.

I was asked if I snagged any other 9.8's from the boxes above - so here they are! That's the lot from this box from CGC - there are a couple in the other - but that will be some time away. Again, thanks for looking!

Dunno if anyone remembers this pile of boxes I bought last year for $700? Well after sorting etc some have gotten back from CGC 25 slabs with about another 20 to come. I totally get that these are not biggies compared to what you guys find in the states, but to find these in a dirty garage in suburban Australia - well I'm quite chuffed! Thanks for looking!

Seems even the writers thought.... I can't see this show lasting much longer without a major change of direction. I don't think even Maggie and Rick returning in a fleet of attack helicopters full of Hershey Bars could save this turdburger now. It's gotten so poor, it's sad to watch (and I still do - just clinging to the hope that the same magic of Seasons 1 - 3 can someday come back.)

Very surprised its still here - these used to sell like you wouldn't believe. Shipping to Australia will be stupidly expensive otherwise at $40 it's a no-brainer. Great item.
