Judging by the number of posts about the episode some 36 hrs later on this thread, seems I'm not the only one to no longer enjoy it, or even have any interest in it. If you are happy - keep right on brother, my opinion on the quality of the writing shouldn't affect your enjoyment in any way.

Really? The whole series is a confusing jumble of messy time jumping, glaringly obvious endings, and now best-friend-stole-my-possibly-now-dead-kid-whilst-also-taking-everyone-elses-kids-whilst-leading-a-gang-of-killer-kids-and-killing-the-food-guy. But hey-hoo, Judith says what Carl WOULD have said if they hadn't killed him off before he turned 18, and off we all go to the fair together. Ever since all out war, the show has been an endless circle jerk of humans v humans with the odd character falling by the wayside. Get back to the Zombies. Retake the world. Or even make the roads safe without resorting to hiring a bunch of overweight civil war re-enactors who's loyalty was bought by a guarantee of watching 'Pretty in Pink' on a big screen. Or at least remind Eugene to make some bloody bullets as everyone seems to have lost all their guns and ammo. Great show going down quicker than Chew or Revival. And the viewing figures show it (as does the total lack of interest on this once thriving thread - every episode would have 3 or 4 pages about it a few years ago) Andrew Lincoln better be making some damn fine Zombie Movies. Or this franchise is toast within another season at most. Currently - it's utter rubbish.

It's getting hot but for undervalued - Batman #49 1st app of two major retro characters - Mad Hatter and Vicki Vale - although how they fit into the high-tech grim current Batman world is to be seen - for Mad Hatter at least. But they were very well known in the comic, the TV show and early Batman Movies. Throw in a classic Joker cover and there's a book with growth potential written all over it. A 5.0 on heritage just went for $3500 (inc premium I believe) - seems cheap considering the 1st apps and covers. For disclosure - yes I own one, no, it's not for sale. EDIT - Rick has just put one up for sale on here!

Just finished - above is correct end of ep 2, ep 3 + start of 4 is a little slow - but necessary. It's all vital later on. Gotta say - it was bloody brilliant. Very solid 9/10 and can't wait for season 2 Great story, well paced on the whole and brilliant tunes A show that gets the watchers to exclaim 'holy ****' more than once is doing something right Highly recommended!

The Boys are drug enhanced 'meta humans' who keep bad super-heroes in line by force. Backed by the USA Govt. And by 'bad' I mean those who choose to rape, kill or stage a coup etc - just because they can. The 'seven' - who are supposed to be a beacon of light are anything but... They are the top level super-heroes, with team of lesser power hoping, one day to get in - but in the meantime do their own thing. The excesses are very graphic. This is very vague for those who have not read it - but suffice to say, 'The Boys' aren't squeaky clean either... I don't want to spoil it, so best you buy the omnibus and read it - though its free online if you look for it. I loved it - but it certainly won't be for those easily offended. It gets it's R rating for far more than shown above.... Enjoy! PS: try Transmetropolitan as well.

I had hope when Hughie said "F the Seven" I think that's got to be a very watered down trailer. The Highlander looked a bit weedy though. Still going to give it a go, as I loved the series. Jings! PS: I hope Terror plays as in the comics......

You can. You just have to find them. And be under 50 And on the 'occupations required' list on the Australian embassy site. If you like stinking hot weather, many,many lethal creatures and some of the most expensive cities to live in, in the world, come on down! Seriously - it's a great place. Heaps of work,great quality of living, very,very safe in comparison to Europe. Wonderful for children to be their best. You may find though, that our politicians are worse than yours. But with a much lower ability to screw up the planet.... Oh - we have great sports too!
