  1. +1. Can we post other books besides the 1 and 8? Just curious! Great books guys. You must be dreaming!
  2. Sweet copies Harvey! (thumbs u Thanks for chiming in buddy! Be careful in all that powder up there in NE.
  3. Thanks for the kudos Bob! (thumbs u That Savannah pedigree distinction is what attracted me to this book. I knew there were plenty of 9.8 copies out there but wanted something that separated mine from the rest. I wanted either a pedigreed copy or a SS with Gaiman & McKean and obtained the former. So did CGC eventually give you that Mass pedigree distinction on those books after your inquiry or did you just let it ride?
  4. Nice books bro! I want to be like you before long! (thumbs u I'll have my Karen Berger Editorial Variant back in about 2 months from CGC. I can't wait to see what grade it comes back with.
  5. Hello All, I felt it was way past due for a Sandman V2 Appreciation Thread. Especially since Jaydogrules didn't man up and start one after winning his nice Sandman #8 Karen Berger Editorial Variant. Two of the most sought after books in this entire run (#1 & #8) are the main attractions here. Prices for both are steady climbing and it is only a 'matter of time' (pun intended) before a Sandman movie will be released. I will get the ball rolling with my latest addition to my collection and donation to this long overdue thread! Enjoy the show peeps and let's see whatcha got! (thumbs u :
  6. Thanks buddy! (thumbs u I have ~40 total!
  7. Hi All, Here is a few of my 35 cent price variants & my contribution to this PVC thread! Enjoy peeps! (thumbs u [/img] [/img] [/img]
  8. If you had scoured the earth for a decade building this high grade set, finding many copies raw, ebay copies in mixed lots and such, I would be much more excited for you. That's exactly what she did and has been doing for sometime now. I can attest to that and also sold her one of my highly priced Whitman's. (thumbs u I'm impressed with the collection and Bonnie's determination to bring it to fruition. Why doesn't anyone commenting here understand that me not being impressed is my opinion. Period. Mine. It's how I feel. Why try to argue about that? I find it interesting that the only people on here trying to argue with my opinion , which is pretty crazy in and of itself... are people that sold her books. Imagine that. I guess I wouldn't want to pizz off one of my customers either. touché eh? Your absolutely entitled to your opinion and not be impressed. However, corresponding with Bonnie for months, I saw how passionate she was to achieve the 'Top Dog' status for Whitman's and I commend that. Some collectors may want the entire ASM full run 1 -700, hers is Whitman's. Either way it's whatever motivates you as a collector. As a research scientist, if she has the 'dough' to buy these rare collectibles and price is not an issue, more power to her. (thumbs u I know if it was a rare book I wanted bad enough (MPFW #1), I would do the same.

  10. I concur good buddy! (thumbs u Bonnie has worked very hard on compiling such an astounding collection! :golf clap: Some like superheroes, underground etc. Her forte' is Whitman's and having those type of networks is always an added bonus in any business venture.
  11. Congrats Bonnie! You sure worked hard enough to get there! (thumbs u
  12. That's true, but now I have to get the coinage and find the right copy. This is why I bought lower to mid copies I wouldn't be able to spend that kind of money on higher grades for all three. Yeah that's very understandable my friend, but my cutoff for SA books is a minimum of 8.0. I will keep stacking my bread until I can buy/obtain the 'right SC #4 copy'. (thumbs u I have my sights on one, but it I will need outside intervention to probably obtain it when I'm ready. I also want to upgrade my IH #1 or sell/trade+cash it for an AF #15 CGC 8.0 copy. :wish luck: To be continued! Sounds good buddy (thumbs u Nothing wrong with collecting high grade copies of these key books. Heck if I had more disposable income, I would probably buy these books in mid-high grade. Everyone has their budget in spending, but I am fortunate to own all 3 in the meantime. I wish you the best in obtaining a copy you desire and I hope it works well with you in the future (thumbs u True dat DK and thanks buddy! (thumbs u Congrats on having all 3 books also! I'm just finicky like that. If a certain book I want is not a particular grade or meets my criteria, I will do without until I can afford the right copy.
  13. I'm sure we will after the NYCC is over. (thumbs u

  15. Hulk smash puny Flash! Roy vs Joey = "Draw" Everyone wins!
  16. I agree too that all 3 books will continue to rise! (thumbs u Roy has hair?
  17. +1 (thumbs u I did like the Watchmen and 300 a lot though.
