  1. Search further refined: 65-cent Marvel newsstands
  2. So are you canooks (is that derogatory?) paying real money for these or just shaking the money tree?
  3. Sounds reminiscent of "unreported private sales data."
  4. I can't believe that it took me over 35 years to notice it!
  5. Just noticed this for the first time today. Anybody know what happened here? Seems to me Witchboy lost a few words out of his word balloon - they all appear to be like this. Do any exist with the whole sentence?
  6. And quite a few, if not all U.S. direct copies. The CDN Price "variants" are related to the U.S. cover prices as they were more or less set to account for the exchange rate at the time.
  7. 9 months . . . not a very long period for a cover price. Considering that Marvel comics were 12 cents from February 1962 through July 1969 (7 years, 5 months); 15 cents from August 1969 through October 1971 (2 years, 2 months); 25 cents in November 1971 (1 month); 20 cents from December 1971 through April 1974 (2 years, 4 months); 25 cents from May 1974 through September 1976 (2 years, 4 months) and so forth.
  8. I guess the answer is, "Zillions, dufus."
  9. It's not a big deal to change it in the system and have the label correct going forward. They just don't want everyone who owns a book with the incorrect label sending it in for a gratis re-slab - those costs could add up. Hence, the lame-azz lower level management decision. C'mon guys - Do The Right Thing!
  10. I was reading through the Official Canadian Newsstand Cover Price V****** Thread and a few related articles on the Canadian pricing topic, and it occurred to me to ask the question: How many Marvel titles were listed at 65-cent cover prices and for how long? Didn't most of the books in that time-frame jump from .50 to .60 to.75?
  11. Or at least correct it going forward, and award OP some kind of thankful recognition for pointing it out to them. If I served a Summons on "Fox Features Syndicate", their registered agent would not accep tit
  12. Yep, it is what it says it is . . . until it's not.
