  2. Nor do my clients ever disagree. More often the books come back graded higher.
  3. You sold too early me thinks. I bet it hits $300. Nah, he made his profit. How much does he need to make? Trying to time the plateau kills many a seller. I hope any boardies vested in this book are cashing in now. Just like old time SA/BA collectors need to be selling 1st appearances to these fools buying at 3x guide price currently. Update! All give you this. You got large to advertise a raw book as a 9.8. this should bring Pirate running Pirate's always running - he's got HG envy

  6. This IS the answer. Period. Regardless of the diligence of the filer, this is a sworn statement under the penalty of perjury by the publisher.
  7. I think most of us consider Preacher #1 to be a modern . . . Only the old fogeys who don't realize that the modern age started with Ultimate Spider-Man #1 Dang Popeye was modern age to me . . .

  9. Was it before March 20, 1995? If so, that would be Winter 1995. (Most people seem to think that "winter 1995" means november/december 1995). mycomicshop has it listed as December, not that they are the authority tho. I don't consider them an "authority" on anything . . . I do however consider Michael an authority
  10. Perhaps, but this can't possibly be an exhaustive list.
  11. That is totally weird. What did it go in as? Ok, I see: CGC QUALIFIED 9.0 (CR/OW) Rmfn33 (page 78) Personally, I don't think an incomplete book deserves a Blue label at any grade . . .
  12. And, of course, the piece de la resistance:
  13. That's pretty damn impressive! (thumbs u Here's a recent pick-up of mine:
  14. And no scan of the back cover. Yes, the less you give, the more they want. People are such dumb-sses
  15. What if two people attempt to edit the list at the same time The world would explode in flames. Superman dies . . . again
  16. maybe they learned their lesson by the early 90s from the mile high II mess Just re-read Chuck's Mile High II account - my apologies
  17. Obviously, the practice varied. We never had to show any "proof of credit". We date-stamped the books upon receipt, got a count when we returned them and were credited on our next bill. Don't have any idea what the local distributor did with the returned copies. However, this was way before the direct market existed.
  18. I *think* this book may be ready to explode soon. I sold a 9.6 for $120 shipped and a raw VF for $35 shipped last week. Agreed. I'm sending in my copy to slab - prolly over the holidays.
  19. There were other books with the insert during the same month if I recall correctly. Perhaps, but none with the Joker on the cover
