  1. Wow. I think this thread may have a first for the CGC boards (or any board for that matter): two boardies apologizing! I never see that. Huzzah to the both of you for being gentlemen.
  2. That is crazy low. That's in Retro's price range, right?
  3. It's been awhile since I gathered some label data. I'll have to do another round of looking in the registry and eBay. Does anyone else have another slab IDs to add?
  4. On photobucket, when you view the image, there are usually some links on the right side of the page for posting the image on other websites. In of the links is usually for thumbnails. However, you will find that the signature line is limited to a certain amount of characters (I think 1000) so you may want to put the images together your self in paint and photoshop first, then load that combo image to photobucket. As far as image hosting, I wish this board offered that as well, but I am sure that type of service is costly. And this site is free to use!
  5. Here is an example of how you should type it in. Say this is the link for your picture on photobucket: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v502/dredjaw/Comics/TWD1_zps6486307f.jpg wrap an img tag on either side of the link: [ img ] link [ /img] (just remove the spaces) and you will get this:
  6. I was looking into the actual amount of the physical copies of each.
  7. Thanks for adding your input, Maloney. I have a quick link in my sig line to your WD FAQ. It comes in very handy. Jay, like Maloney said, I'm not trying to say that the black label is "rare" but rather that there is less of it than the white label. There have been arguments as to which there were less of; as stated in the FAQ, Kirkman believed the white to be less rare, but anecdotally, the black seemed to be in less supply. I simply wanted to use statistics to get a better picture.
  8. That's not a bad price for a legal size scanner. The scan looks nice, too. I use photobucket. I used to have problems with it crashing, but haven't had that problem in quite a while.
  9. [ img ] http://i.imgur.com/De09CPIh.jpg [/img ] Your url points to a web address as opposed to an image. Look at BlowUpTheMoon's link. You'll see it has .jpg at the end, which is an image file. I don't use imgur, so I don't know where there is a hand link to post in these type of threads, but you can right click the image and select "copy shortcut" which will give you this: http://i.imgur.com/De09CPIh.jpg and you can wrap the img tags around that
  10. Hey, in case you didn't see, HarryRod has some IG/TQ slabs in his sales thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6866637#Post6866637
  11. If I had a run of WD 1-100 and all were 9.8 candidates, I would actually grade some beyond the keys. For example, 13 and 20 usually command a nice price because of their dark covers. Jeff said it best: spend $10.95 and do your research at www.gpanalysis.com It's worth it
  12. When I went shopping for a slab scanner, Office Depot had some printer/scanner combos that were meant for scanning blue prints. Price was okay, about $180 on sale I think. Seems like it would do the trick. No. Those will not work with slabs as they use CIS technology, which will give you a blurry scan. They would be fine for OA though, assuming they are large enough. +1. Sorry, I should have clarified that I meant they should do the trick for OA depending on the size. They are horrible for slabs. Nothing but blur.
  13. It would also be pretty easy to have some other stones show up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. There is already a planned crossover: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=48893 Seeing as the Tesseract already showed up in episode two ("0-8-4"), it's a good guess that the upcoming crossover have to do with another gem? That would be awesome.
  14. That's a good point. There is a huge incentive to press this book, given the price difference between 9.6, 9.8, and 9.9. However, let me point this out to you: you said you have purchased 10 raws, only 2 were 9.8s, and that resubbing definitely crossed my mind - however, from the way that you said that, it seems like you never did. So maybe resubbing is not prevalent. I think for the general collecting population, the majority would not resub. Even for slab collectors, I am not confident that resubbing is that prevalent.
