  1. Those are some damn nice WD books, DarthF. WTTB! I bet you'll be the only one with a blue label 100 HI. Hope it hits 9.8 for you Do you have a registry set?
  2. Ok I'll share the seller. I just wrote to him and he said he has multiple of #35!! Please don't buy them all, I need one for my collection. j/k Here's the #2b I bought. Sellers info is in there. ah... gin_and_comics. I have bought from him a few times. He is a board member, too: rh3522
  3. I could maybe forgive the non color breaks on the spine, but not the heavy creasing on the top.
  4. That sucks, retro. Every interaction with DF that I have read about on the boards has not been good
  5. Has the show shown such attention to detail before?
  6. I bought a WD slab from Mike. Communication was on point as was the slab. Thanks!
  7. Wow, photos and no grade given and still at $400 with 17 minutes left.
  8. Holy carp, that ended low. I stopped watching it because I didn't think I had a chance to win it.
  9. I just sold a copy less than a month ago for $2250. Had a few bidders, too. I sold because i just don't think it's going to go higher. I still have a personal copy that I'll keep, but a 9.8 should still be able to fetch 2K if you do a legit auction timed right. Mine ended about a week before the season premiere for about the same. The seem to be going for 2k +/- a few hundred. I never thought this book would ever reach this amount, so I guess I would be surprised if it ever got higher. But on the same token, the book is as popular as ever and the show just announced a spin off . . . I don't know if I see the book dropping to 1500 on a consistent basis. However, the price is heavily dependent on the show. If the show slows down, or if this season sucks, then maybe we'll see a drop. But season two sucked pretty hard until the end, so who knows. A season or two more will be enough for syndication and when that happens...
  10. Oh no doubt, the Midnight B&Ws are rarer; I'm just referring to what I see as the current and prospective market demand.
  11. I agree with Hurley. I think they will retain value, but I also dont think they will explode in value. As a reprint of number one, I think that alone will give it some staying power.
  12. I generally agree though #50 2nd print isn't that hard to find if you are patient. 75 SDCC is pretty easy too. My rankings from hardest to easiest and I'm including 2nd prints as "variants." 2 33 50 Larson 34 7 8 75 Ultimate 75 #1 homage 75 SDCC 50 2nd print I wasn't even thinking about second prints. Without a doubt, on of the hardest books to find in any grade is #2 2nd print, let alone seeing one in 9.8 either graded or raw. I see way more 33 2nds and 35 errors. 34 2nd print I dont see come up very often, and I could see that issue exploding in value. Most raws I see of the issue are in garbage shape. 7 and 8 are relatively easy to come by, too, but still expensive. I would say the toughest one is definitely #2 2nd print. #78 LBCC should be on that list too, maybe right after 50 Larsen.
  13. edit: I'd say this book and this bookare the same in comparison. Just right now the 115 is more sought after. Yep, that is the comparison I meant. Raw 100 sketches started out around 200 if I recall, and now you can pick up a CGC 9.8 for less.
  14. That sounds about right. I would guess, based on the raw prices, that the 115 Midnight B&W variant will follow the price path of the #100 sketch cover variant, as opposed to following the Comixology Variant, Lucille Variant, of Red Foil Variant. Follow TBP's advice: wait to buy it, because it will get cheaper. I would say this advice falls true for any WD variants after and including 80. Any variants before that still seem tough to find at a good price.
  15. Awesome print. Congrats, dudes!
  16. Oh Dang. That cover is begging for some yellow sigs on it.
  17. Even as a fan of the show, I find this hilarious to watch. Literally laughed out loud a few times.
  18. Well, while I wasn't able to make it to NYCC, I was able to pick up this beaut over the weekend
