  1. Well, I read THAT spoiler...jerk But you are right
  2. 1. Thanks to everyone for keeping the discussion in spoiler tags. I appreciate it! 2. I can believe I fell asleep last night before the show started.
  3. That would be awesome. Maybe you could even score being an extra?
  4. Yeah, I'm pretty excited to see Abraham on the show. I hope he translates well to the screen. Looks like 53 is seeing small bump in prices, too. At least on 9.8s.
  5. How many covers to 100? How many covers to 115? $$$$ is the answer. Of course it is. And I think it's a slippery slop to get to GFT or Tarot, where there are multiple vairants for every issue. Since issue 100, it feels like that has been the case. If it continues, I wont drop the books, but I'll stop trying to complete a registry set.
  6. I don't think I would drop the title if they did. I think only a significant and prolonged drop in quality would cause me to do that. I can't blame them for trying to monetize their property. Some moves are more blatant cash grabs than others, though. I can see where reprinting the early issues in color would help grab the comic readers that are adamantly against reading black and white comics - though I think those people are few and far between anymore.
  7. This made me and cringe at the same time. You would think owners would train their employees how to handle comics. You'd think CGC employees would learn better, too. I've seen them do the same
  8. I agree. It was neat to do the first issue again in the color, but reprinting the others in color seems like overkill to me.
  9. I really like the WD 1 color reprint. I like that it is square bound, and that it has the original pitch in the back, like the WD Special. I dont think many people have read it, and I think most fans will appreciate it. I also like the recolored cover. It looks great.
  10. I was under the impression that, unless you've already sent your books in, you won't be able to get any except for Kirkman to do a SS evil ash has a sale going on in the sales thread. so what do you think? he only has a few left. I think the value is great if you were to have it done for your personal collection. For flipping, I dont think so. Both the NYCC variant and Midnight Release variant were available in mass quantities (think the SDCC variant for #100). That being said, I don't follow the prices of SS as much as universal grades. Again, it seems like a great value for getting one for yourself, but not for flipping.
  11. If you are looking to flip, I would try to push your raw purchase price down to 150. With the way WD variants are being pumped out, I think the risk of these dropping in price is just as real as the way the Wizard World variants have dropped in price. Proliferation of WD variants will dilute demand for all WD variants across the board, I wager, but you may do well if you are first to market with it.
  12. Maybe once it is graded. I mean, raws are going for $200 plus for auctions that have already ended. I see raws of the comixology end in the same range, between 200 and 300 so I think the potential is there.
  13. I would guess not. The comixology and appreciation variant never were. However, like the Red Foil variant, maybe there will be an exclusive variant for 115 at skybound.com? I'm also surprised that there isn't some giveaway for participating in the NYCC Walking Dead Escape like there was at SDCC . . . or maybe there is and it is a surprise.
  14. What'd you pay for your b/w copy?? I was passing through Seattle earlier today (technically Tuesday) and called a comic shop and asked if they had the b/w issue and the guy said If I wanted it I could have it for 150 so I stopped by paid and can pick it up tomorrow. I'm curious what's the cheapest people on here paid for it. Sounds like there were 900 prints so I'll probable have buyers remorse. The 100th edition b/w is selling for anywhere from 100-200 and there's only 200 of those. But instant gratification gets me every time. $150 seems like a decent price. The cheapest sold copy on eBay was a $99.99 BIN but the rest seem to be going for at least $200. I would guess the value of this comic to be equivalent to the #10 Comixology Variant, the Retailer Appreciation Variant, or maybe even the Red Foil Logo variant seeing the first was limited to stores who participated in Comixology, the second was at most one per store, and the latter was limited to 200 (I think I have all of these facts right).
  15. Thanks man!!! I just ordered 3 copies (max allowed)... There ya go!! Now everyone is happy. Me....just found out my LCS is not participating in the awesomeness. Here's how it went down. Me: Are you guys doing the Midnight release of WD tonight? Clerk: No but our other stores in Lauderdale are. (45 minutes south of me) Me: Really why not? Clerk: Because you'll be the only one that would show up. (They know me there) Me: Um ok. Later So now I have to drive 45 minutes south to partake in the epicness. Is there a chain of comic stores in your area?
  16. Only one two out of seven local stores are actually having a midnight release; the others are selling theirs tomorrow with the normal releases. You should be fine,
  17. Not quite... But definitely nowhere near the redonk eBay prices right now. And yes... Nice eye. Crazy amount of MTG cards. Our shop has massive amounts of cards. That's probably .01% of what they have on hand. Does anyone know the ratio of this book? 1:100, 1:200 etc..... The Adlard 100 b&w is 1:200 right? The Midnight B&W book is a 1 per retailer who is participating in the Midnight Party release for 115. I believe Image/Skybound said in a recent tweet that there were about 8-900 stores participating. (Going off memory, can't recall exact #) Yep, Adlard 100 B&W is 1:200. I'm kinda miffed that most of the local stores will have the midnight release and the B&W variant but are NOT having an actual midnight release.
  18. Very nice. I don't look forward to tracking this one down or the Ohio B&W
