Did you demand the book be re-holdered? I'd simply demand it and if told no than ask to speak to the supervisor. Then just hold until you get one and keep going up the latter. The book does not have the eye appeal it should and will make it detrimental when it comes time to sell. I would demand a new holder or a full refund.

Having looked at this a few times, I don't really like the RRP covers. Honestly, I'm not sure I like the covers for this book in general. They might grow on me, but all the white space bothers me. For that reason, I don't see this touching Saga. The cover for that book has more eye appeal.

What about Saga's content turns people off? There have been a few explicit pictures, but they were really small. I'm not sure I see them as a huge "turn off" to readers.

I don't see this happening. I like Hickman, but usually his stories get to complicated. I'm not the only person to make this complaint. He spends a TON of time world building and often a ton of stuff is going on in the story. I think Red Hawk (I believe that was the title) was a good example of that problem. I still couldn't tell you what the point of that story was to this day. Saga also feels really unique. The art and story are both drastically different than a lot of other things on the market. The buzz is already flying and people are really interested. Now I like both books. I now have a 9.8 of both as well so I've got a leg in both races. But in the span of a little over three months my copy of Saga doubled in value from sales on eBay. Let's see if in three months the same can be said about East of West. It wouldn't surprise me.

Yea I agree- I actually liked the XBox 720 better. It made sense. And I'm not that excited about their system. Seems like they are just adding on a cable box. That doesn't excite me that much...

Yea I'm not sure I've ever seen one. I wonder if I have one in my collection and didn't think much of it as a child...but that is probably doubtful.

No offense, but I'm amazed you did a trade with someone with 18 posts on the boards. I've tried to do trades, but I really only spoke to people I'd done business with in the past. Sucks he cheated you though. You could contact the police, I mean you have his address, but over $300 I wouldn't hold my breath.

See I didn't really care that much about the Guardians of the Globe book. I didn't feel any real attachment to a character and didn't feel the group was that compelling. On the flip side, I did enjoy the Invincible Universe book. Unfortunately it got cut though because my pull list has gotten out of control and I haven't enjoyed the GOG book before.

Yea we should get confirmation on this...? I've seen books that have done that intentionally.
