  1. Presumably, they know what he's going to do in his lifetime, and they're fine with it. He is kinda important to DC. Does anyone watch this show and think "Immortus is cooler"?
  2. Truthfully, I could plagiarize Honey I Shrunk The Kids, replace the dog with Lockjaw, stick Psycho Man in there somewhere, and still make a better FF movie than the excrement they're going to push out.
  3. Scandal Savage from Villains United/Secret Six ring any bells? *watches the monkeys scramble to check their boxes for Villains United #1... wonder if they'll know the difference between the prints, or mistakenly pull the one-shot instead...*
  4. +1 Just want to put it out there... I'm going to enjoy pointing and laughing hard at people paying for Omega the Unknown.
  5. I figured that a powerless Earth Prime Jay was in the cage.
  6. Richard Dragon is tough. I picked up a 1 and 5 on the cheap years ago, and haven't found many issues for sale to fill the rest of the run.
  7. I'd say make things right with the people who you've forgotten, and move onto your new sales thread in good conscience. I think everyone knows you're an active member of the boards, not just a guy who's here to flip books, so I'm personally not concerned about your character. Truth be told, had you not explained the situation, I would've never heard about it.
  8. Captain America 111 Flash 123 Tales of Suspense 39-41 X-Men 4 Readily available, but I haven't stumbled across the right copy at my price yet. Aquaman, Avengers, Captain Marvel Adventures, and Flash are my focus right now, but there are scattered numbers I'm missing in all of them, so it's hard to pinpoint a hole.
  9. Yeah, but it's fugly... makes me wonder if anyone actually likes anything about their books besides the price tag anymore
  10. Gotta be 18. Younger than that, and it can be argued that you're not entitled to exercise a contract against the kid, right?
  11. Question: I know people are silly about Adventure 260 as the first Silver Age Aquaman, but how hard is the rest of the silver age Aquaman run to build in low-mid grade? Do the common issues see good turnover, or are they bin filler?
  12. I'm good with whatever they do, but if they screw up Jay, would that mean the price of Flash 123 will come back down?
  13. Nope, the 266 is much harder to find than the annual, always has been. 10 years ago, a raw 9.2/9.4 266 would sell the same day you put it out at $50, before the whisper of a movie. I'd price it at $100, discount to $90 if you must, or $80 if the buyer is buying full-priced drek along with it.
  14. Congrats, and keep at it! Every copy of FF is deserving of love, not just the nosebleed high grades. Am I crazy, or did everyone want an FF13 for not long ago? He's been killed in modern Marvel, so with luck, the prices don't move until everyone has their copy
  15. I didn't like it either, they laid it on a little too thick for my liking. Just to calibrate, I loved "Bad Blood", hated "Jose Chung's From Outer Space."
  16. I'm a recent entrant into G.A, but I have no desire to own either a Cap 1 or Marvel Comics 1. I like Cap, but like every Cap fan, I have all the Silver Age appearances. If I had a Cap 1, I'd feel compelled finish that run as well, or else it would look out of place. Seeing how many seasoned collectors are perpetually hunting Caps, that doesn't seem enjoyable at all. Knowing what these books sell for, I feel it's too late to start now. I'm 25 issues into a Captain Marvel Adventures run. There's plenty of supply, and the fact that they're cheap benefits me twofold: one, most of the run is easily accessible, and two, the big collectors only seem to want high grade copies, if at all. I'll also buy G.A. Batmans. Filling in numbers ahead of my Silver Age issues is adding flavor to my existing collection, so it doesn't matter if I never have the first ten or twenty issues. Vexsus, if you want an inexpensive golden age title to work on, try Joe Palooka. I had an issue show up in a stack of books, and I enjoyed it. The art was more cartoonish than I was used to, but I found it surprisingly well written. I can't understand why they don't sell.
  17. The Lee/Kirby run should only ever be collected as a run. If all you're doing is picking the 5, 45, 48, 52, 65, then you have no real appreciation for the work.
  18. No one's brain is spinning at the name of Earth 1's Jay Garrick?
  19. I liked it, but they're going to have to drop the buddy cop bit and get into the real story sooner or later.
  20. Cool? No, it's sad seeing all the monkeys dance their dance time after time.
  21. Since Ultimate Spider-Man, Marvel has been flushing its fans on a 5-year cycle.
  22. Tough sledding here in Ottawa... two ads on Kijiji (craigslist) in two days for stacks of low grade Silver. I answered the first 45 minutes after it was posted, and got an email 4 hours later that they were sold. I didn't catch last night's ad until 3 hours after it was posted, and the ad is already gone this morning. Anyone care to share the notification software they use?
  23. Sounds pretty much on the mark. It sucks for flippers, but that's a fair price to me. Shouldn't last long.
  24. Two want lists, two requests for Castlevania Dracula X. What's the going rate on a loose cartridge?
  25. You guys are lucky... Ottawa's Kijiji (Canadian craigslist) produced this little gem this weekend: For Collectors Price $7,500.00 DC Superteam Family Giant, with 2 different covers Apr-May 1976, excellent condition. He refused to send me a picture, didn't like my attitude...
