  1. Yeah, I haven’t seen many. I am amazed at how this survived in the condition it did. It’s going to CGC next week.
  2. Cross posting from the Superman thread. Right place, right time on this one. Finding a newsstand of this cover is difficult. Finding one in NM condition is next to impossible
  3. Have you ever visited this thread? Anything is possible.
  4. A real life Breaking Bad/Comic Book Men crossover. Sad.
  5. Amandla Stenberg Reveals More About The Acolyte, Star Wars' Next Mysterious TV Show This has me pretty excited for this show. The overarching, but not in your face, theme of the High Republic novels has been a jedi’s relationship with the force and how they use it. We’ve got to see everything from wayseekers to strait-laced Jedi like we saw in the prequels. I was hoping we’d get some kind of explanation for how the Jedi order became the rigid, stuffy group we saw in the prequels, and this show looks like it will cover it.
  6. Either way it’s wrong The facsimile was released in 2021. But yeah, a lot of times I find the eBay generated item specifics are wrong, so I just ignore them altogether and look at the listing carefully and inspect the book as much as I can. What is really shady is how the seller states “Up for auction is an unopened copy of Ultimate Fallout: Spider-Man No More #4.” The “unopened” statement would signal that this is the original polybagged edition. Shady Acres AF
  7. Be careful out there. Nowhere in the title or description does the seller note this is the facsimile. The barcode is conveniently blurry as well. Surprised they didn’t use different lighting to make the red marvel logo look not so red. Ultimate Fallout: Spider-Man No More #4
  8. If the price sticker is something some stores were using, it would make sense for the UXM 302 below. However, this FF book has the price under the sticker. Are the numbers under July on the sticker the same as they are under the sticker? I can’t really make it out from the image. Also, no this is not a toy insert. There’s a thread in copper about it, but seems like it’d be more at home here in modern
  9. The reason I ask is because around this time there was some weird stuff happening with newsstands… Action Comics #695 (1994) Cover A Eastern News Newsstand - Almost every newsstand you see for that issue is of cover B. It’s not often a Cover A newsstand pops up Star Wars Heir to the Empire #1 (1995) Blank (sometimes with sticker) UPC Newsstand. This is different that the regular newsstand and the direct edition I think the no upc/no price Uncanny X-Men #302 (1993) from this time period is a result of a regional bookmarket test. But, I’m still trying to find info to back that up.
  10. Is his copy one that he purchased off the stands, and where is he located? This could be another book-market region anomaly.
  11. Thanks. I was trying to find info on them online outside of the online store, but didn’t see much besides Facebook. It does look like the “store” is closed today, which is real odd for a comic book store.
  12. @BlowUpTheMoon Pretry sure this shop is near you. I think you’ve dealt with Sleeping Giant before based on an old post from a Google search. Any info on the quality of items they usually carry? This post from 2018 speaks to the types of books they have carried in the past in the store.
  13. Besides the fact that you mentioned it, no difference at all. But, yes, probably harder than CLink or someone you had a relationship with in CA. I guess, they could have a relationship with someone in WNY and shipped to them like they would in the other scenarios. My point was to illustrate to many that NY is a BIG state, and this is not really a Sunday drive type location from where the perpetrators are located.Growing up in upstate NY, I know people on the outside think it’s just NYC.
  14. I haven’t had any issues with it and like that it saves some $. it seems to take an extra day or two, but nothing too crazy like others have experienced. I just sent a book to Fairbanks, AK from central Ohio. Dropped it off at the post office on Thursday (2/22), and it was delivered Tuesday (2/27).
  15. I guess there could be some type of connection, but Tonawanda is a looooooonnnnngggg way from NYC.
  16. Not listed currently, here’s a link to a completed sale. Link
  17. I’ve never had a book reholdered. Is this the norm? If not, this could be the new normal in a Post-Zanello world.
  18. Madame Web has become Disco Demolition Night of the superhero genre.
  19. It’s doubtful we will get an Elzar Mann appearance, but he’s such an awesome character in the books, the show would definitely benefit from it. Him and Lourna Dee are my two favorites. The audio drama based on Lourna Dee is top notch.
