  1. The only thing that bothers me with this movie is the overshare. It's like they're facebook junkies who need to post/tweet about every little thing in their lives. I don't care how the sausage is made. Just slap it in a bun and serve it. I still want to see it, though. I may not see it in theaters, but I will certainly see it eventually.
  2. This seems like the most over-exposed movie ever. I don't really care about all the production pics. Why do we need this? Can't we just watch the movie when it comes out?
  3. Tilda Sinton IS an odd choice. The Ancient One is an old Asian dude. White women are represented more in the MCU than Asians, tbh. I don't really have a problem with it, but it's a head-scratcher.
  4. Bought some Silver Age Marvels from Al, everything went great, thanks!
  5. He posted this the day before in the thread: Beautiful book but it looks like I have one lined up already. It's more than possible that the "advice" he got was him culminating the purchase of the other copy, and not anyone actually saying anything to him. That doesn't make sense though. He posted about having one lined up already BEFORE the then he took it, then he backed out. Maybe he backed out of both?
  6. I posted here so as not to derail his sales thread. Looks like a great copy to me, one of the nicest 4.5s I've seen. If it doesn't sell in this venue, he'll do great somewhere else. It really is a great book.
  7. Would be PL-worth if AnkurJ decided to pursue. Since he's likely not (and I wouldn't either in this situation), I see no harm in pointing this out in this thread. Secret Son did, after all, say he deserves the heat. I'd probably avoid him in the future.
  8. I don't know about that, but I wonder if that thing 'sensed' that she has potential. No way she'll be Captain Marvel. I really don't know where they're going with this, but I'd bet a lot of money that's not it. Is this why Avengers 196 is trading higher? I had no idea.
  9. She's got a nice booty, that's for sure.
  10. I thought it was great! It did look pretty good. Any idea who will play Vandal Savage? Hopefully they get someone good.
  11. This is turning into one of the great franchises of our time. Loved the first two.
  12. Another example of the British stealing all the good American jobs.
  13. We finally agree on something! Oh NOZ! He's pretty bad, but at least they're finally making him shrink rather than just a cheap Iron Man rip-off.
  14. Best episode of both seasons. Great finale.
  15. Does not seem block-worthy in the least. He seems pretty civil to me.
  16. Sign me up! Really like the lead, he's got some charisma.
  17. The cancellation was inevitable. Networks don't resurrect shows they're on the fence about. It will be interesting to see if it gets picked up another network, but the odds are pretty low.
  18. 'Cause, you know, it's perfectly normal for foster siblings to get married.
  19. Actually I like it when Iris shows up. It is like a mini break for me, i get to check my texts and stuff...

    Gotham

So now Barbara's not just a philandering bisexual, now she's a philandering bisexual sociopathic murderer? Man, they've really ruined that character. Not the kind of person I'd want raising my daughter. As has been stated already, the episode was a bit schizophrenic. Jumping from storyline to storyline with major plot holes. I'd call it a generally entertaining episode, though. I didn't like what they did with Barbara, but the cat-fight scene was pretty visceral. I wouldn't call this good tv, but it's had its moments.
  21. resident of Deming from '85-'87 What's up! My folks still live in Deming, and we visited over Christmas. I don't think there's a drier or more wind-blown place. I can't say I would like to live there, but it is weird to go back and see how little has changed.
  22. That's weird that you should mention it. I just read the Spiderman/Superman Treasury, and the max security pen they put Doc Ock and Lex Luthor in is located in Deming, NM, a tiny southwestern town of around 10,000 people that I grew up in. It was pretty weird reading it in print.
  23. A chargeback I suppose, basically opened a case. I just had to work, so now I could take it further. Chargebacks are when you have to go to the credit card company. Paypal may just refund you without you having to go so far. It'll take some time (they have to let the seller respond), but if (when, really) he can't show tracking you'll get the dough back pretty soon. When there's no proof of shipment, it works pretty fast.
  24. You did a chargeback or opened a paypal dispute already, I assume? The PL nomination would be secondary (but still important) next to getting the money back.
  25. While I have no doubt that the seller has popped smoke and has no intention of completing the sale, I believe, per the letter of the law, he still has until the 30 days are up before he can be nominated to the PL. Regardless, if I were the buyer, I would open a paypal dispute to get my money back sooner rather than later.
