  4. your a walking italian encyclopedia maybe it was you that told me they did the same thing with Superman #76 story and never used the cover in the 60s
  5. Beautiful #37 I'd like to get one. They did this book in France as the #1 issue. Great cover
  6. i have about 16 long boxes Americans back home stopped collecting around 1992. I may have the most diverse collection with keys from 32 foreign countries. I keep every stat in Excel....This is my progress from last year to now

I have scoured the Dutch books and i have never seen these before.... One day, one day I say....i will be able to say i have seen it all... It will be a sad day if this day arrives.... Great finds Chromium!!!
  8. you can either CGC your book based on a fair market value or skip the value and base it off of the scarcity of the book but rare does not translate to high dollar value the most CGCed book ASM300 (over 7,000) is high value but not rare Never made sense to me why people CGC new books but each to their own
  9. The highest graded Archie's Pals 'N' Gals #3 CGC 7.5 and #6 CGC 9.0 seen on the CGC census today are both (35 cent Canadian price variants) with no mention of Canadian edition seen on the labels and I have seen both books. This is an important point. Everyone should know that the CGC census is an imperfect source of imformation, but for Canadian Newsstands it's even worse. There are way too many slabbed CNs with no notation on the label/in the system. Dont reference CGC for any Canadian or other countries... They dont know the difference of Mexico and Spain or Finland... they graded a Green Lantern 76 from Spain and it is notated as "Mexican"
  10. I believe it's not too cheap. the trick with foreign editions is that many of them are recent publications (this german Showcase 22 is from 1999), the real problem is to find mid-high grade copies of the foreign editions published in the 60's and 70's. For example, it's pretty easy to fins an italian ASM 129 (from 1976), but it's VERY VERY hard to find one like this: Marmat you should send that to CGC... A press would also help the top right corner It would be highest in census for a long time to come...Beautiful!!!!!
  11. XXXPHOENIX, this is very interesting.... so was this book in fact a color copy made or actually published? what is the "street" value of this book over in Italy? i love rare and odd books like this thanks for sharing my friend Typically CGC gets foreign labeling incorrect due to lack of review/knowledge perfect examples of a Spain GL76 labeled as "Mexican" and several ASM300s labeled as "Finnish Edtion" when the language is clearly not Finnish
  12. Did you source this out of Serbia?? I sourced my ASM129 from the same country but back then it was still called Yugoslavia. .. Great book
  13. Awesome! Thanks!!!! It's one the best copper covers
  14. no that seller is legit I know him... He has some pretty good stuff
  15. Batman 423 Canadian $1.00 variant thanks to a fellow boardie only copy i have ever seen i love it
  16. the Amazing RJS collects all the Walking Dead #1 foreign editions... i dont think he has them all but he would know the best of all the issues published.... He has the largest ASM194 and Conan1 foreign collections they are pretty incredible
  17. I dont buy anything modern. i only collect foreign editions like your awesome 232 and 251 I just found Danish Batman 251 published in 1972
  18. I have to assemble a group shot of all the foreign editions. This Canadian Price Variant of $1.00 was more difficult to find than all the others. There is a 1st print Direct and Newstand, 2nd print, and 3rd print, and also a Walmart 3-pack shrinkwrapped. If I discover there is one more 423 that I dont have I will kill myself so please no one show me a 423 that i dont have I only recently realized that there were 2nd and 3rd printings of this book. So I went through my stash and here's what I have: 4 First printings (3 Batcowl, 1 UPC) 2 Second printings (DC Comics aren't just for kids) 2 Third printings (1 Batcowl, 1 DC Comics aren't just for kids) All of these are 75 cent cover prices. And I haven't received it yet, but I just bought one of those 3-packs off of eBay. The most difficult foreign 423 was the Mexican and Hungarian. I was confused for almost A year thinking Denmark and Norwegian was the same edition. ... It's by far my favorite McFarland cover ever
