  1. Evedence: Douglas "Doug" Petrie is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. Best known as a writer, director, and co-executive producer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He co-wrote the screenplays for the Fantastic Four film and Harriet the Spy. He has also written for the television shows Angel.

    Further to my point

  3. I think my biggest gripe is that I don't feel like Ant-Man is a strong enough character to warrant his own movie.

Kinda like how there are no solo movies for Hawkeye, Jean Grey, or the Invisible Woman. These are secondary characters compared to the major players who have already had movies. These secondary characters only really work if they are in a movie with a stronger lead or an ensemble.

Look to the actual comics for guidance…there hasn't been a solo Ant-Man title until recently. I know Hawkeye has had a solo title in the past and his current solo title is getting great reviews, but did anyone think a Hawkeye solo title would be successful?

I guess your theory will be tested this summer.

Ant-Man a secondary character taking on major players like the Fantastic Four who had movies.

Does anybody think Ant-Man will beat the Fantastic Four at the box office this summer? hm

    Wouldn`t that be something?

A flagship core group of Marvel heroes getting beat by Ant-Man.

If that happens then the movie hype speculative game has definitely changed.

GUARANTEED if for studio alone... GUARANTEED.

  4. if you want to nit pick something, concentrate on Karen (who looks like Olive O from the Robin Williams Popeye Movie). The costume works fine

Really? I thought Karen was great. Decent acting and just... :luhv:

I had a harder time embracing Vincent D'onofrio's Kingpin with his gravely "I'm Christian Bale as Batman" voice.

I think I'm on episode 7 or 8. Not sure. watching them in pairs. Have to agree about Donofrio's Kingpin. Too much struggle when he speaks. The girl who plays Karen is giving me fits. In one shot she is very attractive. In others, she looks like a heroin addict. (shrug)

The guy at the end of the Stick episode. Is he the blind martial arts guy from Iron Fist? I can't think of his name.

That's what my husband said, he thinks they fix her up in some episodes and not in others. She just looks like a generic tall thin blonde to me. I keep focussing on the mole on her face and wonder if she should have it looked at.

I love D'onofrio's performance, it's nuanced and I think Vanessa is perfectly evil...but our favorite was Wesley. He could be Loki's evil twin.

My wife keeps saying the same thing. I keep wondering if that mole tasts like strawberries. I bet it does.

  5. wow Daredevil is one violent tv show, I thought Arrow was violent and that doesn't hold a candle to this one.

My middle schooler was watching it with me, in the 1st ep I was hoping they didn't go full frontal with the girl.

Do they go full backal with the girl? My I love her. Going to watch it tonight.

  6. They made transformers 2, 3 etc. doesn't mean they shouldn't have. This was Fox's to print money. In this day it's just required that films appease the fanboy. Why they feel the need to A) diverge to appeal to a larger demographic (pandering), and B) take so many creative liberties with core aspects of the material amazes me. It's like the simple price of admission when making films in this genre.
