  1. NM 98 reminds me of a 1985 Mark Mcgwire rookie card

trade or sell all your NM98's now if you can ,

imagine being able to trade a CGC NM98 for a NGC 10 dollar indian gold piece with actual value if someone who had the coin was that foolish...

with so many graded NM 98's out there chances are you can buy it back at 1/10th price in ten years if you so wanted

So can I get Larry Bird rookies cheap now ?

Yeah you can. I grabbed a Jordan rookie last year for what I consider a nice price.

Sweet ...gonna look into this .. (thumbs u

Who's this 'Jordan'? DC or Marvel?

  2. I don't want to oversell it but I personally think #15 was by far the best issue to date. It was better than #10 and #13 which I still think were super cool and unexpected. I haven't been this intrigued by a book since Jupiter's Legacy #3. Its the kind of story you'll remember for a very long time. East of West is quickly moving into 1 of my favorite reads ever. I think Hickman is moving toward Warren Ellis type territory when it comes to his storytelling and world building. I can't think of a greater compliment for a comic book writer. :applause:

Totally agree. This book has all the pieces in place now... 15 was a major step in pacing the story forward. Babylon...... Whoah... Just incredible. I have soooo much in my pull, I love seeing this every month. And I agree, the art has gotten a lot better, it's a little wonkie for me at times, but overall it's very strong. The storytelling is world class... I'm amazed this didn't win more this year but it almost took this long to get all the pieces on the board.

  3. Well, I think there was some sort of plan because I remember the soliciations showing up in the image site saying NB + Emi Lenox. So perhaps that was the plan and then it also fell through?

In the end, I really liked this book. Didn't care about any of the variants. I actually really liked the stuff they did with the extra printing covers. I don't really think anyone can say what really is the cause of the delays unless you're ES or NB. It could ES, it could be NB who knows. I just want to read comics. Oh well, I hope they get things back on track

Were they saying Emi is taking over for Nate? I love her style but I don't see it translating well. She's an old friend so I could ask... But want to get my story strait. I haven't spoken to her in about 3 years.

    Edit... Ok... Got this:

Stephenson: I've been a fan of Emi's work since a friend gave me copies of her Emitownmini-comics a few years back, and I just really love her artwork. Her sketch blog stuff is great, most of which has been collected in the two Emitown books Image has published, but she also does this great watercolor work, and since a big part of Nowhere Men is the non-story content we were talking about earlier, I always thought it would be fun to get her involved with some of that if there was an opportunity. I'm really happy with how her contributions have turned out so far.

  4. Personally I think the majority think it's going to be a horrible movie however those who are invested in it will do everything in their power to pump this movie so they can dump it on the sheep.

This is interesting to me... Marvel hasn't invested in new property like in forever. Everyone there has influence and unlike Sony or Fox, Marvel seems to be doing mostly everything right. It's not like they don't have great source material. Just fine it strange that anyone would have doubts that this is going to be lame... Unlike John Carter, Marvel is driving the bus, but like John Carter, Disney super conglomerate is driving the bank. I can't imagine it's going to be anything other than epic.

Who knows though, I may be very wrong.

Also, I'm amazed CGC doesn't have labels just for Stan Lee's signature at this point. Feels like the man has signed 1/3 of the marvel books out there... Even the ones he had nothing to do with...

  5. Its getting a little hard to move around. haha

The first thing I noticed in this pic besides the AF15 is the Spider-Man bowl you got there!!!! I GOT THE SAME ONE i think...hard to tell from photo but is yours from 1977? My mother in law gave it to me when she first found out how much I liked comics...Now my daughter occasionally eats her cereal out of it haha!! Cool stuff man!! (thumbs u

yep it is the one form 1977 still wrapped up in the plastic..And if you other guys want to come help clean have at it. I have been missing a thor 166 for 2 weeks now, so if you can find it its yours

I want to give you props... The clutter was the first thing that hit me... Then I noticed the lack of dust. This is well maintained chaos.

  6. So Yando has a small fin in GOTG, not the huge thing... And I first though Altantean until I read Namor is owned by Universal... Which I did not know... Not I am totally convinced its a Kree... Perfect timing with the GOTG hype... Where did they end up going? Wasn't like Nevada was it? Some obscure Area 51 reference...
