  1. Krighton sighting! My guess: Revival 1 1st print - @ 18k print run Revival 2 1st print - @ 10k print run
  2. Where’s the dude that bought a PALLET of Spawn 1’s a few years ago?
  3. I passed by the Anchorage store a couple of years ago while on a family vacation and was surpised to see a store still operating. My oldest, who was 20 or 21 at the time, saw the store and got a little nostalgic and Snappchatted his experience before settling back down to streaming Netflix on his phone.
  4. Thanks for the pics. I look forward to your report every year
  5. But if you Google ‘where can i buy comic books on line’, Mile High is within the first few choices; the CGC crowd already knows where to go
  6. From a story that has reprinted many times, too
  7. This Rachel Rising page by Terry Moore is a little strange, but cracks me up. The little girl, Zoe, escapes a bad home situation and rams her sister's car into a random strangers car.
  8. I agree that AH draws with better proportions... this head is way to small for the body, even in the way you cropped it. As others said, the painting isn't bad, it just appears to be a forgery.
  9. 5 stars to DC for the quick response
  10. I used to travel to Denver for business often and would stop by the Jason Street mega-store when I had time. I bought a few books that were on sale, but I mostly went to window-shop... it's a massive store. There are MUCH better LCS's in the Denver area, tho
  11. I haven't met Matt, but he’s a great storyteller and Mind MGMT is one of my favorite books. However, Super Spy has some of his best sequential art, imo.
  12. Writers definitely are a deciding factor for which books I'll read. Certain genres appeal to me (sci-fi and time travel) and I'll always check those books out, but great writers make a difference on a seemingly mundane title. Warren Ellis can write a comic about a steamy poo and I'll still buy it.
  13. Of the big 2, I was a big X-men fan and read a lot of X related titles; but I also enjoyed Brubakers Captain America run, Bendis’s New Avengers, Waid’s Daredevil run, Snyder Batman, Alias, Aaron’s Thor, and big events such as Civil War, Secret Invasion, Annihilation, Old Man Logan, Planet Hulk/WW Hulk, House of M, and Death of the Family. Obviously I was a Marvel guy but still read the occasional DC book. One reason I made the switch to non-hero books mostly due the strength and diversity of stories coming from big name writers doing creator-owned projects but the repeated rebooting is a factor as well.
  14. The last couple of years I’ve mostly read non-hero modern books (Image, Dark Horse, Oni, etc.) and very few of the big 2. The only recent exceptions have been Vision, Mr. Miracle, Star Wars, and Kamala Kahn Ms. Marvel. Having said that, spec books are a fun hobby within the hobby and Marvel/DC books are a major component if you want to participate in that side of the hobby.
  15. If you don't see any indentations and are still unsure about whether or not the blue lines are pencils or printed, you can try erasing a small section of line (pick a line that's at the edge of the page or not part of the main image. of course, only do this if you are comfortable with this process!). colored pencils are waxy and will not erase as easily as graphite, but you would see a fading of the line. Also use white eraser and not a red one (it's gentler on the paper and the pencils).
  16. Not comics, but this scratched a nostalgic itch I didn’t know i had. Yard sale 50 cents each
  17. Sorry i missed this one Mike... next time!
  18. I need to make it to Heroes one of these years
  19. wasn’t there a boardie who found a pallet of Spawn 1’s a few years ago? Hope he held onto most
  20. yes - yesterday at Phoenix comic-con (or rather comicfest now). Tim said it was a recent discovery in a forgotten folder.
  21. Queen and Country 1 cover prelim from Tim Sale. I loved this series and my heart skipped a beat when I saw this in his portfolio.
  22. Very nice. I saw this and considered bidding, but lost track of time.
  23. IDK where the movie rights are, but I’d love a Micronaughts tease in the upcoming Antman-Wasp movie.
  24. My fathers spin on this was that buying his boat was the 2nd happiest day of his life and selling the boat was his #1 happiest day
