Thought it was interesting that CGC is staying with the Legacy numbering....

The actual newspaper that was printed is the lowest print run of any Enormous items, total print run of 40. If anyone but you said that, I would immediately say BS. I still doubt they made only 40 of an item that is super cheap to print, and can't be graded or collected like regular comics. But you may be right!

Like last year, another ENORMOUS haul at the show! All of these 9.8's FT Beachbum guaranteed! He may have some doubles if anyone else is looking for something, PM him. The newspaper variant is the NYCC show special, and is an actual comic, as well as a newspaper giveaway version.

Debatable. Nothing makes them the experts, or makes their opinion any more valuable than many others on here.

Magazine will not fit. Get Treasury bags. Every con has them for sale, or order 100 on eBay and they will last you the rest of your life!

JTC will be at the one day first ever Comic Con in Bloomington Indiana next Sunday the 30th. Can't NOT go, since it will be so convenient. Might have him sign something since his sig is so neat and small.

First graded 9.8 then! I got that book as a fluke, a subscription service guy was selling me 5 unclaimed moderns for $100 plus shipping to get rid of his stack that had not been paid for and I was just starting to buy CGC's and thought that was a good way to accumulate some fast. I did it about 6 times, and got several good ones (now) but the RR 1 is probably the best. My only condition was no doubles and nothing less than a 9.8!

Same deal here. This was the first graded RR 1. I bet the more recently graded ones say First Appearance......

Here is another recent example. First appearance of Alex, Ada, but not mentioned. If this book becomes big someday, the future slabbings will say First Appearance.

They often leave off info like first appearance, unless it has become important. They don't say first print on books either. They usually say 2nd print, etc. Some graded power rangers have the card removed- they need to tell you it is complete, I imagine, for those that may not know it had a card in it.

My kids were really into the show and toys; I bought this when it came out and I believe it is the first appearance in comics.

White pages are unknown in NN #1, and if a 9.8 appears for sale, I would expect it to go for $1000. And, for a 9.8 w white pages, I would pay it.

The day will come when a key will bring more if it is NOT signed by Stan!

I like a bigger bag and board for protection-- if the comic is at the very end of the board, why bother with a board at all?
