  1. That's only if every shop that ordered the book ordered 50+ copies of the regular cover. Time and and the book's overall scarcity has suggested that certainly did not happen. (thumbs u -J. Doesn't Marvel or DC or whoever have to guess? Sure, they get preorders, but they can't wait until all orders are in to set the print run can they? And they can't have firm numbers on which stores qualify for the 1:50 or 1:100 BEFORE they print the variants, can they? As mentioned before, many stores order 35 or 40, not qualifying for the variant, but still taking copies of the regular cover- if 2000 stores did this, that is 80,000 copies sold that did NOT qualify for a variant? I would think they decide based on the previous print run, and then have some leftovers. What happens to the leftover is what no one knows.
  2. That's probably the only one 'down under'! Currently its the only CHU variant on the census like your 6B cover. The CHU variants, like the NYCC books, have a tiny print run of 100, so could see some movement as interest grows in the book. CHU has updated the Enormous print run page as well. As for down under, sometimes it seems like I'm the only one on the Enormous train, but I'm spreading the word where I can. The staff at my LCS must be tired of hearing me talk about it all the time. I had in my inventory notes that there was 150 of the panel variant (above) and 100 of the blank variant- I am sure the CHU guy will correct it if it is not accurate. He would know!
  3. One 9.9, the rest 9.8's. I don't care for SS, so that is how I will eventually be beaten on the Registry. But not today....
  4. Enormous 6 graded already? One of each please.....
  5. OK, lets see! $10.50. Thank you Mr. Donut!
  6. I bought 4 funny animals and about 20 Captain Marvel from my LCS who got them from an older woman whose husband had died a few years ago. They were poorly stored and eaten on a little, but still a great find! She claimed it was an OO collection, and I believe it.
  7. I'll never understand Ebayers - they could have gotten a NM for even lower than that! Don't complain, it's the other insufficiently_thoughtful_persons selling the book for less that should be corrected. If a FN copy nets $51, wtf should a 9.4NM copy be selling for then? A 9.4 should not sell at all. A month old modern should ONLY be acceptable in 9.8!
  8. You need an illustration for this thread!
  9. That is the first mention of the graded and time frame! Good to know, thanks!
  10. MIdtown still has Black Spiderman in stock, so I don't think they are hard to get.
  11. If I was selling mine, I would start at $3500.
  12. In other words "I don't have one!"
  13. I don't think anyone has received a graded one yet, and I think it might still be a week or two. Since he was not sure how many people would order it pregraded, I doubt he sent them in early. He may have had a special deal with CBCS to get them done quickly, however, so maybe we will all get them this month.
  14. 3 hour one way or round trip? One way, if you get 30 miles to the gallon, it would take 12 gallons of gas to there and back. $2.50 a gallon, you saved about $22 bucks! Round trip, it would take 6 gallons of gas, so you saved about 7 bucks. Sounds good to me!
  15. I am in the Not Clear camp. I didn't travel via the comics heating up website. I figured that the company that is grading charges about $25 and the book raw is $20 so $55 an ok package deal. $75 for a $20 book to be graded is a bit steep imho. If you agree $20 for the book is ok, then fast track grading of a regular book, and being shipped to and from the grading company, and then to you, makes $55 seem about right?
  16. These can be ordered straight from the artist John Tyler Christopher for $20 or for a CBCS graded and signed edition for $55 more ($75 total). You can order them here. This is from Comics heating up website, where I clicked on the link and ordered from on 4-8. It was very clear what you were ordering and how much, but maybe the actual site was not. I also thought it said 9.8, but maybe not.
  17. $75 total... your cart had 1 book for $20 and added 1 grading for $55. (You could add the grading "item" to any order, it wasn't specific to Boba Fett) Hooold on, I thought I ordered 2 copies total when I ordered 1 raw and 1 graded. Are you saying that the $55 was simply for a grading option with NO COMIC ATTACHED?? I remember it was specifically listed under the Boba Fett page. If so, that's rather bs as there was no mention that I recall of no comic being included. So am I just lucky that I also wanted a raw copy and they'll just use that copy as my graded copy? If so, not too happy about that and it should have been much clearer when ordering that you have to actually buy a raw book along with the graded "book" option. you ordered one graded.
  18. Collusion would be the best way. We all agree to list them for no less than $300 each let's keep it above board sir! () I'm just going to start a 24 hour auction later tonight and see where it ends up. Listed a high BIN in the meantime. Looks good Ant! I will be surprised if that does not sell fast!
  19. No, I think (hope) we are both having fun and smiling when we do this! I understand everyone's frustration, I just don't share it. I would think all of us are used to waiting months for books, so a week or two really would not matter. As far as shipping goes, I will reserve my opinion based on the condition of the book when I get it (I ordered graded SS). I would pay $15 for shipping if I was guaranteed a safe delivery!
  20. OK, out with it! What is that you have a problem with? You are not being clear. I need to read it 47 times, 46 is not enough!
