  1. Pretty sweet looking copy. Just a little concerned about the lower left bottom edge of the back cover. Looks like it has suffered a little bit of a crumple there. Probably 9.0, 9.2 at best even with a C/P unless it really smooths out nicely.
  2. I'm not the person in the middle! I think they're an ebay seller.
  3. If I were a business, I could claim a $1,000 depreciation on it if I at one time valued it at $3,000, right?
  4. If I purchased a book in 1980 for $0.50 and sold it today for $2,000 but 6 months ago copies in the same grade were selling for $3,000, did I just lose $1,000?
  5. Bought this from a seller and didn't know it had Jack Kirby signature in it until years later.
  6. It's been several years but I sent in a very high grade Vampirella #3 and got a mid-grade Vampirella #1 back. Just a mix up in shipping that was straightened out between CGC and the two of us that had our orders mixed up.
  7. Nice, sharp copy, 8.5-9.0, maybe better with a clean and press.
  8. I would be more concerned about this. Is that pubic hair from Beavis or Butthead? Did that come free with the book or was that a later addition?
  9. Beautiful copies, amazing condition!!!
  10. My 2 raw books arrived from Heritage today packaged the same way. Nice heavy backboards, but they were placed back-to-back with the covers of the books facing out wrapped in bubble wrap surrounded by packing peanuts, but only on one side. Fortunately, the package was not damaged in any way, but wouldn't it be more prudent to put the books facing each other with the heavy backboards facing out or at least put some cardboard over the covers too to give them more protection and reinforcement and put the packing peanuts on both sides of the bubble wrap in the box?
  11. It's pretty square at the top of the spine, but has some rounding and rollover going on toward the cover the nearer you go to the bottom of the spine. I've seen a lot of copies with spines like this of this issue.
  12. Wow! Looks like something very pointed landed on the package (probably another heavier package) and quite easily distorted the packaging right through the bubble wrap to the book. I have received several raw books from Heritage packaged this same way, but fortunately, none of those boxes suffered this kind of handling damage, but it does worry me and your experience here confirms they need to shore up how they are packaging raw books like this. I have two raw books on the way to me now from Heritage and would be very enraged if they arrived like this one of yours, especially for what they charge for shipping, they could at least try to protect them better.
  13. Wow!!! Amazing pick up, beautiful cover. Overstreet and Gerber's Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books lists this book as "scarce".
  14. Did you have it pressed? It looks like it. I had it at 6.0-6.5 with a press.
  15. Yes, they have posted a news release concerning this. Unfortunately, it's looking more and more like that area may take a direct hit. That may impact their staffing and ability to conduct business for a while as infrastructure and employee's homes will most certainly be devastated. Hope everyone gets out safely. 16. Well, to be fair, Heritage only opens up the bidding on their Sunday-Monday auctions on Tuesday morning, so I screen-shot this right after the auction went up. It's up to a whopping $3 now, lol.
  17. Hey Flash fans, just a heads up, some high-end Silver Age Flash are up on Heritage this week. Here's a screen shot of some of the earlier ones available.
  18. Hi, nice copy here but I thought I'd run it across the boards here and see what you think. It has an unsightly tape pull at the middle top edge of the back cover, but otherwise some normal wear that would be expected for a normal upper mid-grade copy. I am thinking about a 7.0, but not sure how a tape pull like this would affect the grade.
  19. I posted this meme recently.... ...well, the prescription is in...picked up these two raw beauties over the past few weeks.
